what is the wt publication you hated the most (i mean besides all of them?).
mine was that faggy pink "listening to the great teacher" book.
my mother tried to teach both me and the neighbor's worldly kid lessons from that book, and you know how embarrasing it is for a boy to be put straight by a pink book?.
Those corny pamphlets with those horrid cartoons (they were worse back in the 60s and 70s).
I remember, in High School, a classmate of mine asking me for a specific pamphlet by name. When I got it I snuck it in to him while class was in session behind the teachers back. He reached out to grab it and as soon as he saw the illustration on the front cover he broke out laughing saying "Why do you JWs have to be so corny?" I forget the name of the pamphlet but it had a picture of a man reaching out to a bird.
i have decided to start another thread to the one on jesus...god or god's son?.
the reason for this is that i started a thread really looking for personal experiences, looking for reasons those with a jw background would change their opinion on this.
i wanted to know why those that believe that jesus is god now feel this, whereas years ago they didn't.. i think it's a shame the other thread has descended into a debate between trinitarians and jw apologists, whereas only a couple of posters responded to my original post.
paleontologists brought to tears, laughter by creation museumthe museum argues that the fossil record has been misinterpreted and that tyrannosaurus rex was a vegetarian before adam and eve bit into that sin-inducing apple.. jardine, a palaeobiologist graduate student from the university of birmingham, was having fun on the tour, but told a reporter that he was disturbed by the museum's cartoonish portrayal of scientists and teachers.. "i feel very sorry for teachers when the children who come here start guessing if what they're being taught is wrong," jardine said.. arnie miller, a palentologist at the university of cincinnati who was chairman of the convention, said he hoped the tour would introduce the scientists to "the lay of the land" and show them firsthand what's being put forth in a place that has elicited vehement criticism from the scientific community.. http://www.physorg.com/news165555744.html.
paleontology and creationism meet but dont mesh .
but here in the creation museum in northern kentucky, earth and the universe are just over 6,000 years old, created in six days by god.
The human foot is another example of evolution. Any engineer/biologist could redesign it more efficiently into a horse shaped hoof. The reason though it looks like that is because it evolved from an apes' foot/hand. A chimpanzee has a foot that can both walk and grasp we, on the other hand, have a foot that has been altered by evolutionary process to walk while maintaining a remnant of what used to be fingers. It works fine but with a lot of excess baggage and weak points that does not reflect well upon an "intelligent designer".

cantleave, many birds use their wings for display but that is not the primary and original purpose of them. Also, I never said penguin wings are vestigial, they have instead been readapted from one use, flying, to another use, swimming. Such readaptation itself is proof of evolution since all animals show evidence of having changed their body plan.
i was thinking the other day about a potential answer to the frequent party question 'what was your most embarrassing moment?'.
immediately my mind went to my last experience on the theocratic school.
as an aspiring ms, i volunteered at the last minute to give a #4 talk on a particular individual (ignorant of what i was about to get myself into).
Once, when giving a short talk, I forgot to wear my tie.

"(yes you asked for only one type of experience but this is a Jw site not a christendom one so I am treating this thread as the pro-Jw I am) if you want to promote a purely themed debate on one religion I recommend you use the forum for that religion."
Remiaa this is an EX JW site which is composed of a wide variety of people from atheists and agnostics all the way to evangelical Christians as well as JWs like you. Where do you get the notion that "this is a JW site"?

To offer one example of an "intelligent design" there is the Ostrich that has vestigial wings but can't fly.
a listing of prayers by jesus in the new testament can be found at this site:.
http://www.praylikethis.org.uk/theprayersofjesus.html.
(i can't say that the list is exhaustive, but i think it is at least representative.).
ATALAYA means WATCHTOWER in spanish.
