one of the meanest stories put forth by watchtower psychos is telling children that their beloved pets will never come back resurrected.. not only must the child deal with the trauma of confronting death, the grief of losing a love, and the inability to reason why this happens.... but adults offer no real words of comfort and instead cause more psychological trauma by telling the kid that they can have a pet lion instead.. poor kid doesn't want a pet lion.

Is this an attempt to teach them not to become "too involved" in caring about animals or other people?
Is this why they grow up with the ability to turn off their love and feelings when they are told to shun someone?

I think they have to give it, because we have a verry extended privacy law. And firms, schools, hospitals, govermental organisations, also have to give you a peak in your files if you ask them to...
But your right they probably "lost"my file when I ask for it.. But I gonna try...

The reason I ask, is because I was def'd about 11 years ago and I wonder if they kept a file of the conversation I had with the commitee and for what reason they df'd me...

For a minister of Foreign affairs it is also important what the the other countries think of that person.
And I know for a fact that in Europe Hillary has got a verry good reputation.
In Europe we like women with balls.. and we think she's got the experience from the time she went all over the world when she was the first lady.
They trust her and that's verry important. So you americans should not be affraid, but be glad!

i have spent literally hundreds of hours discussing with the c.o.
or other elders how some of us elders disagreed with a certain elders' actions and what could be done about it.
or that a certain elder was doing a certain thing, or acting a certain way.
My father was an elder for a long time, the elders always had conlicts with eachother.
You had like two groups of elders the three big ones, (don't know the english names, but I trie to explain) the head of the cong. the secretary and fieldservice elder( my father) and the rest.
The three big ones including my father were verry arrogant and I know for a fact that if an other elder had a big mouth they would force him to step down. It even happened once that an elder had to step down in our cong. He moved to an new area complained about what happened and became an elder in his new congragation within a year...

That's funny, because in Europe, Hillary is in the news a lot.
Maybe it's because american news and papers give more attention to american news and less to foreign news.
Condaleezza Rice and Madeline Albright were also a lot in the european news.
last weekend i was enjoing the good weather in holland with my mother and my kid sister, who still is a jw, on a terras, drinking a beer.. my mother always tries to tell something positive that happened at the cong or something that she read in the washtowel and then i react negative or not at all.
it's a kind of game i don't know.. this time she said something like despite the fact that armageddon doesn't have to come during the generation of 1914, that does not mean that it isn't near... and then my kid sister reacted on this and said yes...possibly 2012.... i was pretty stunned... of this remark.. has anyone else heard something about the jw's now focussing on the year 2012?.
Well maybe it's jus a thought from my kid sister...
