PAGAN.....and other JW Curse Words....
by homeschool ini remember working at a banquet hall/resturant, and it was just around the time when the jw teachings/actions weren't sitting well with me.
but my mind was still very much a jw.
a lady, whom i clicked with & whom i'd hung out with a few times, came up to me one day and said "homeschool, there's a couple things i wanted to tell you.

My dad used to call me the "Witch of Endor" - and he was nasty, vicious and hateful when he said it..
Why did your dad do that, Ziddina? Were you casting spells at a very young age? Thats so weird that he would do that. My dad used to be mean when he wouldnt let me & my innocent girlfriends sleep in the same bed during sleepovers. I could hear him loudly whispering to my mom "theyyyyre going to become LEZZZZZBIANS!!!!!...... " which was only kinda true.

Well, it appears that they are sticking with the same old stuff (pages 23-25). It looks like they're still saying that those from 1914 will not see the end of this system of things? Am I mistaken? are there any other good examples?

I remember working at a banquet hall/resturant, and it was just around the time when the jw teachings/actions weren't sitting well with me. But my mind was still very much a jw. A lady, whom I clicked with & whom I'd hung out with a few times, came up to me one day and said "homeschool, there's a couple things I wanted to tell you." I think she knew how strict my lifestyle was and didnt want to trick me if our friendship continued. She said "I'm Wiccan".... I said 'What is THAT?'....."a Witch" she responded. I remember thinking "hmmmm, she doesnt SEEM like a witch. Holy crap! I'm talking to a professed PAGAN!"...
And then came the 2nd blow. "Homeschool, I'm also bisexual. And I believe in Polygamy."
There were a billion things that went through my mind over the next few weeks. I absolutely separated myself from her company during that time, which I am slightly embarrassed about (but she's cool and understood).
While she and I dont talk very often, we are still friends and I am so thankful that she was one of the "Scary" pagans I first met. She is one of the sweetest, most caring people in the world (the REAL world, not the jw "wordly world").
It's all about perception and realizing that the things we thought were scary/detestable....simply aren't. I will never become a witch, but now at least I know that they are not devil worshipers, that they honor the earth and everything on it.
What were some of the scary jw curse words that you had to overcome?

Hi I'm new here
by BloominMarvellous infeeling guilty already about being on here, the familiar words are recalled in my mind "don't go on any jehovah's witness websites except 'watchtower.org'!
so here i am, desperate for some help.
i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.

You are so cute! Your story reminds me a bit of mine as well. It was only when I told on myself for doing the dirty deed (and, from another recent thread, the elders informed me that in old times I would be stoned to death), they ended up reprooving me. While I was at the meeting and they made the announcement, I felt such shame and guilt but then realized at the same time "OMG are you kiDDIng me....I am 19 years old. The way they are announcing my mistakes is disgusting and isnt right." Shortly afterward, I began my fading journey. You are going to be Okay. I wish you the best. And what RaraAvis said, so true. So true.
OH, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

I say DONT CHANGE A THING. LMAO. ....if you go with the whole 'here's why I believe you are false,' they will quit reading it on sentence #2. You get an A + from me!
