Is the information on JWfacts.com accurate?

i'm researching and going through so much material to try and find out whether jw doctrines and beliefs are based on the bible, as well as if they're consistent.

i'm a jw currently and i have many doubts at the moment.

fortunately this site is helping me so much, as there's always someone who's posted the same question i had in mind.

I recommend reading Carl Olof Jonsson's book Gentile Times Reconsidered, you can find this book on the web if you search for it, Amazon has it and it quite cheap and is priceless for anyone believing in wts 1914 dogma. Very detailed research on 607BC vs 586/7BC.

Another book is a great read that I recommend is Charles Russell's Studies in the Scriptures vol 3 or Thy Kingdom Come book which you will be able to find in any of the above links. It is an eye opened what Russell taught and how what calculations he used to teach Christ's return in 1874.

And Crisis Of Conscience is a good autobiography of Ray Franz who was a GB member until he was pushed out and he goes through the history of WTS and the internal struggle between GB members and the doctrine.

Most JWs can't handle the fact that they have been conned and thus they refuse to examine the facts or they just claim it's old light and it doesn't matter but people who have awoken can realize that the past is very important to their belief system. Good luck on you research.

Oh ya, here are interesting newspaper scans published about Russell by Brooklyn Eagle News which Russell suied and lost. I've scanned these and tried to make them as readable as possible. Any of these scans can be had for free from The Brooklyn library who were kind enough to scan them for me and send my physical copies. The contain some info from the court hearings where it was revealed that WTS was Russell and couldn't be said that others had a voice in it as Russell owned 95 or so percent of the company as well as it's revealed that Russell owned vased intered in other companies including a trust company and interest in the cemetary where he was later buried. (I think that was the cemetary he was buried in)

Reply From Co-worker - Feel Excellent Moment!

so, there we all are in the break room in my place of work, and the topic turns to the holiday shopping madness.

this co-worker starts to say how expensive this holiday season has been for him and that he's still not done, and too bad when the day comes the family members will find fault or something else wrong with his gifts, and to make things worst, that the wife also was purchasing gifts with his credit card so he feared the january statement.. so, i jokingly told him that one way he can remedy that is by telling his family that he's been studying the bible and that he won't be celebrating christmas this year as he's studying to become a jw.

they all laughed loudly and the guy, second by others in the room, told me that i just didn't know how good i had it being a jw this time of the year.

I'm guessing that being part of wts cult cost somewhere close to $1000 a year to upwards of maybe $2000? Christmas expenses may not sound all that bad.

DY should have told his coworker that it's them that have it real good as they only have to do this once a year and don't have to spend countless amount of time wasting their lives by travelling to church and going door to door and conventions and get nothing out of it.

from a discussion i had with an active sister this past week.

they had no "issues" with accepting the new generation understanding at all, she said.

all the brothers agreed with the reasoning, apparently there were no protests, murmerings or complaints.

Really, how many jws think deeply on wts teachings? I know I was a follower when it came to dogma. Generation meant this or that.....it really didn't matter as I wasn't serving God for a date. I didn't think of putting 1+1 together to realize that the whole 1914 was bogus and tht 607 was only wts teaching. There were many teaching I didn't put together to realize the whole religion was a joke. How many here, when they were sincere believers knew that the whole world didn't believe Jerusalem fell in 607BC but 587??? How many could explain it without going into the wts publications and reading it someone who actually asked about it? In fact most outsiders never ask jws at the door the right questions for a jw to actually think deeply about what they are preaching.

So with the new generation teachings, most don't care about small things that don't appear to be a big deal. If wts came out and said 1914 is just another date, that would be different because a number that's imprinted in jw mind would jump out and they would have to think about it but what if wts said 1914 was wrong but fds were still chosen in 1919? Would jw question 1919 as many don't even think of 1919 as an important date which is based on 1914 theology? As long as jws are doing their routine and 1914 isn't changed they will continue to follow the gb without much hesitation until one day they wake up to realize they were conned. We who came to understand the wts fraud can see clearly why generation is changed and it is a big deal to us but to the cult mentality it's nothing major as they cannot connect the dots without a someone to guide them.

The problem with videos like these is that a lot of nonsense is included. Russell may have been self deceived individual there is no evidence of him being a freemason but he as well as many others in his area and time have great deal of knowledge of Masonary. Pyramid of Giza that Russell taught had nothing to do with Satanism but Russell's crazy idea of him finding the truth about the bible and imagining that God left clues on earth for mankind. Russell bloodlines is another crazy theory from few nutcase conspiracy web sites based absolutely on no evidence - as if anyone having name Russell is part of the bloodline. Rothschield help? Russell wrote to these people in regards to the state of Israel as he believed that the Jews would get their land back before the end of the world and Rothschield were promoting the idea of the state of Israel which makes sense why Russell would write to these people. NWT bible being written by Satanists is another BS claim. There is also no evidence of Russell being a pedophile. The claim is based on divorce papers which I'm still trying to find that state that Russell was found to be in Rose Ball's room and has grown quite fond of her but Rose was around 25 years old at the time!!!! Some websites and even books quote from this transcript but I don't know if the authors ever had the actual copies of the transcript or are they just quoting from "a source."

Nonsense videos like these may help few people look into the wts lie but many people will see through the stupidity of these claims and will believe WTS claim that apostates only tell half truths. Be careful when doing research without actual proof.

The newer ones can be found on the WTS website. Maybe someone can post a link to the page I'm thinking of. It was the page where wts was talking about legal case in Russia and the publications were banned and that page had all of wts' newer publications in Russian as well as in English with pictures missing for faster download for Russian witnesses.

my wife became a witness a few yrs after we had gotten married and i was wondering if the jw's believe that they should not socialize with people who are not jw's?i had some neighbors when i was younger and their kids who were close to my age said that that was their beliefs being witnesses.i ask my wife that and she says that isnt true.does it differ from congregation to congregation or is someone trying to cover up something?

WTS is a cult and controls people in such as way that they view themselves special in God's eyes who will be the only ones who will survive. By being fake and "good" to others they may win over others to come to "truth" so they all can be saved. WTS organization is viewed as an "ark" where those on the inside will be saved. Outsiders are viewed like those who were destroyed outside of the ark in Noah's day thus are viewed as bad association. Witnesses are not forbidden from having non-jw friends but are discouraged from have these as outsiders will no benefit witnesses spiritually. Obviously witnesses will not come out and say it outright but they may make examples to that effect or some may actually admit it.

Collage has been OKed in the last several years when I was still in but University was still a bad choice. The encourage young ones or those who finish high school to go in full time preaching as "it's he best way to live and please Jehovah" while many of these hypocritical talks are given by people who never pioneered themselves.

Your wife feels it's her obligation to teach your child wts way so your child can be saved. No wonder you have problems as many people do. Keep doing research and with knowledge you might have a better chance of helping your wife awake and see the deception she's taught. Keep asking an many will try to help you. Also it's a good idea to quote wts publication when you discuss doctrine with your wife but even then when teachings change the jws ignore it and say it's old understanding since their understanding is progressive even though some teachings go back and forth.

Maybe one last thing to mention is that if you bring up anything against wts your wife may question where you get your source and will tell you that the ex-jw are evil, liars and that we are telling you half truths and we take quotes out of context because we were thrown out and that's why jws are not to associate with exjw. WTS compares exjw (apostates) to that of the devil so when you talk to her be careful how you approach her or she may view you as an opposer and your marriage may go downhill.

It would be interesting to write a letter to newspapers and show how wts try to fight for freedom of their cult in countries like Russia while at the same time they destroy lives of family members how they deceit people that follow them by hiding the past, hiding the truth about those who leave. To show that while they cry for being persecuted by Russian authorities these same fuckers cause their member to persecute their own sons, daughters, grand kids and their follow friends. WTS is like the baal worshippers who would put their children through the fire, they have no respect for families and humanity while they think everyone else should help them. They are leeches of this world.

1914 - What is the importance of this date?

i have heard this a lot in my lifetime when witnesses get approached with any critical thinking of the 1914 year date.. this sounds good, at face value, but it's so disconcerting to hear them minimize this date when they will jump all over it as "proof" of their organization's divinity.. without dates such as 1914 societies like the watchtower simply would not exist.

the watchtower needed these dates to anticipate and use as selling points.. remember, before 1914 there were not very many witnesses.

therefore WTS is a big FRAUD

Yes, dates shouldn't matter but in case of WTS everything is tied to their dates. IMO only way wts can survive another 100 years is if they strip off dates, loose percentage of their flock and hopefully not too many will commit suicide out of despair as loyal ones continue to sucker in a newer generation of dubs at a much slower rate. Without dates the Big A isn't so close anymore and more will slow down in selling wts shit to others and without dates it's very possible the whole pyramid scheme will fall apart where even the loyal ones won't have an organization to support. IMO this is the dilemma that wts has to overcome and they will deal with this as far into the future as possible. Time is not on their side at this point in time.

I wonder if wts keeps a list of apostates who are more prominent in the world. In fact do they keep a list of any of us who left of were df for apostasy? If local congregation knows who we are, isn't it possible for some wts personal have list of names? Just wondering
