Before i left i remember my last C.O. telling me that there would soon be 1 million a year coming into "The Truth", and it would grow from there. I'm glad to see that idiot was slightly wrong....

Cedars, WOW!!
Thanks for that info!! That WT on 1914 was one of the things that led to my awakening, and started my fade. Our entire ministry in the 80's was based on 1914. I'm so fortunate that my wife decided to leave with me, despite her being born into "The Truth". I can't believe how much damage they have caused not only to my family, but to millions of families.
And Outlaw....

Been many years since I've been inside a hideous KH. I posted my story on here a few years ago, and thought i would drop back in and say hi. I'm just curious, are people leaving in droves??? I would expect that to be the case. We haven't spoken to most of my wifes family in years due to them being disgusted with our inactivity. We're not DF'd, just extremely lucky we were able to fade away and eventually be left alone. Most of my JW family do not speak to us either, my Father being the exception.
What shape is the Borg in??? Due to all the info that's available, i would think they would be in trouble big time.

The materialistic comments are typical stupid witness chatter.
The comment about your child went across the line, and I'm afraid if that had been my sibling he would have been tossed out on his ass rather roughly......
My Mom once said to me, and i quote: "Son, you need to come back to the Kingdom Hall, because i really want you to be in the New System with me. I wasn't sure where to go with this. Shouldn't she want me back at the hall to get close to God again??? Kind of getting ahead of herself presuming she would without fail get there, despite several really bad things she hid from the brothers.
I remember being in field service in very nice neighborhoods, listening to them talk about which one of the beautiful houses they would take after Armageddon, and the horrible worldy people that actually owned them were destroyed.
Oh My....
Typical stupid Witless chatter

Shamus..
When you said self righteous assholes, it brought back a memory.
One of our piosneer sisters chastised my wife one time when they were out in service about the music she had on the radio.
A couple of years later that same "righteous" piosneer sister cleaned out her husbands bank account and ran off with a black guy she met on the internet, never to be heard from again......
Think I'll stop there, because those memories do nothing for what is a nice evening, and so far (only half way thru it) what is a damn fine cigar.

Which one has caused the most grief???
That's a good one!!!!! :rollonfloorlaughingandfarting:
Lets see now, like Shamus said, i too would hang around what most of normal society would classify as rejects and misfit retards, because they were usually the movers and shakers at the Kingdom Hell. They were also 2 closet Homosexuals (one was our P.O.) and 2 child molesters. Yep, they caused the most grief. Because of associating with those jackasses, neither of my boys got to know what it was like to celebrate Christmas, or being a kid and having a birthday party.
I thank God every day I'm out. My boys, although grown, know the joys of the holidays, and last year was my Grandsons first Christmas (he was 8 months old), now THAT was joyful!!! I'm fixing to go relax by the pool and smoke a cigar. Did you know Makers Mark makes a cigar that the tobacco has been soaked in bourbon??
I'll let you know how it was.....

Welcome PTN.
Wow, you can really see the influence of the Cult still flowing thru your veins.
I made a decision to leave, and thankfully my wife came with me. Some of the sorriest men i knew were Elders and M.S, and believe me, the term sorry is too good for some of the bastards. On the other hand, some of the best men and women i know are friendships cultivated AFTER leaving "the truth". My only regret is i didn't leave sooner and get to know some of these people, and have them in my life sooner.
Not every man or woman that's "worldy" (God, that's a stupid term) are the vile, filthy, doomed to destruction folks that the Cult led you to believe.

I was working my arse off trying to support a family with 5 kids, getting to meetings, pre studying for meetings, pre studying for the family study to make it fun for the kids, witnessing and still feeling guilty because I'm not doing enough.
Boy do i know that feeling. I remember leaving every District Convention i attended feeling like i was dirt because i wasn't doing enough, despite being married with 2 small children.
