Question on Teaching UN is Beast to recruits?
by hawkaw inquestion to you intelligent jws and exjws.. does the wt, through its knowledge book or whatever, make sure new recruits know who the scarlet coloured wild beast is or disgusting thing is (ie, the un), who is part of the great harlot etc before becoming full blown jws?.
like should new recruits know this off by heart thanks to the rote teaching?.

and had to wait ( only ) regarding the earth / the Kingdom authority is not yet implemented over earth

by EndofMysteries inif anybody ever read the two babylons book, it detailed how christianity became corrupt.
how over time, not on the spot, but slowly changes were implemented, it started with forbidding anybody to read or hold the bible, and only the leader/pope etc could teach, once there was full absolute power, then satan was able to put in anything he wanted to corrupt it all.
i am not going to list the articles and scriptures, everybody can find those, i'm just going to quickly show from the history to now how it's happened and the proof and what is happening now.

Jesus revealed this in his Revelation chapt 13:
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion:
and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.
here is about authority over those seeking God and his kingdom
and in fact this is the "great tribulation" : the period of time when the "beast" rules over the "people of saints" / because this GT is meant to be over God's worshipers (believers) , not over oposers !

Another reason why 1914 is WRONG
by EdenOne ineven if 607 had been the actual date of the destruction of jerusalem .... 1914 would still be wrong.
when the wts says that "7 times" equals 2 x 3,5 times of revelation = 2 x 1260 days = 2520 days > one day / one year rule = 2520 years.. now, 2520 / 7 times means that one "time" has 360 "days".
this corresponds to the lunar year.

I address you, those who are Jehovah's Witnesses, those of you who believe that Scripture should settle all matters. You are reading this, because you, like I was, are wondering if the claims about 607 BC are true or false. Else, you are reading this because you are an apologist, but I've yet to see an apologist that will calmly and rationally give a sound argument.
Let's be honest. If 607 BC is wrong, then 1914 is wrong, and so is the appointment of a Slave in 1918/1919 over all Christ's belongings. That is the crux of the matter. That is why 607 BC is so heavily defending. That is why you are reading this.

Both 607 and 1914 are true, because they are in calendar / but they do not count at all in any teaching related with the Kingdom of God nor with its "coming" on earth .
A few years ago I wrote a short article where I proved with Jesus words when the Kingdom has started in Heavens
( and when and how it comes on earth is another subject )
