Kingdom Hall Librarys : Can you still Veiw Older Publications ?eg:Russells,Rutherfords books ?? or even books from the ~50s

i`m just curious if such books as "life everlasting in freedom of the sons of god " " let your will be done on earth" etc.

are still available in the kingdom hall libraries and if they are then that should be a wake up call to all jehovah`s witnesses.. if they are not then that should be an even bigger wake up call to all jehovah`s witnesses.

the bible has never been altered in 2000 years under the direction of holy spirit.

Cofty I was fortunate enough to have Booze Jo books and Russel's at my dad's library...

As far as I know they don't keep before 1970 publications....they are apostate teachings!!! Soon they will keep only the last 15 years

i'm thinking way outside the box here.... i looked up my thread title before starting this thread and guess what??.

no one appears to have ever considered this question before.... i've seen far, far, far too many people of european/british isles/african/american extraction defending this regional middle-eastern 'god', without realizing that their ancestors would never have willingly consented to give up their own deities to worship this interloper thrust upon them, usually at the point of a roman sword... or occasionally for trading advantages, as in the case of many of the heathen viking - norsemen.... so.

You have to be more clear with that statement since:

1. The Bible it was created in the 4th Century A.D with the 76 books Hebrew and Greek Scriptures

2. Basically the Hebrew Scriptures are a mixure of myths along with the history of the Israelites. Some misogynists Hebrew nomads, borrowed myths from Sumerians and Egyptians and created a new religion

3. Unfortunately we have the 3 worlds basic religions Jewish, Christianity, Islam, to have their foundation upon myths

well here goes... i apologize in advance if this turns into a long and disjointed rant, but i just have to begin typing in order to keep from exploding.

i realize that what im about to say could seriously jeopardize my anonymity, but i think ive reached the point that i just dont care.

i want this to be over.. let me explain what caused me to rip up a letter and get up and walk out in the middle of an elders meeting two weekends ago.. our boe has been embroiled in a nasty fight for the past 2 years over a certain brothers business dealings.

I would agree with Black Sheep, since when I left WT my family was broken. I do have kids in there and I managed to keep the lines of communication open, despite the fact that their mother is fully brainwashed JW.

Waking Up From a 34 Year Slumber.

july 11, 2011 will be 34 years since i was baptised as one of jw's.

the sleeping pill i took was in the form of them providing the information that made the bible come alive with the truth and insisting that they go by the bible not adding or taking away from it.

i had negative experiences from local brothers from time to time, however i excused them as part of being imperfect.

Just to say welcome the club dude. I was in for 33 years, I was born a JW got baptized at 18(little bit late!!!) but in my early 30's I left and I'm glad.

i know the poster lost generation made a fantastic thread on this july 15th apostate article, however - i noticed some very powerful points on pg.

17 paragraphs 9 - 11 which weren't brought out that i feel needed to be touched on.

as was brought out in his thread this article told jw's to avoid apostates because they are " mentally diseased " allegedly and to avoid their web sites, not read their literature, watch t.v.

The leadership of WT cult knows that they are lying to their followers for the past 150 years. They are indeed masters of lying and mind control over 7 million JW's worldwide.

Darkness cannot prevail Light and WT is dark and evil cult. They are the ones with half truths are trying to establish their authority and power over 7 million blind followers. GB reminds me the dark days of Spanish Inquisition when thousands died in the altar of the Catholic Church, using the same reasoning, question us=you question God.

In this 3rd millennium times have changed. Human race has started to awakening, things of the past are now questioned and along with it Religion, especially Christianity (followed by Muslim and Judaism). We have evolved as humans and trying to move forward, since we investigate our past along with scientific evidence. An average modern man has more knowledge by just reading a newspaper, from a person that lived 3500 years ago in a semi barbarous state, claiming that he was inspired to write God's commandments in the desert.

Time does not turn back, that is why we find more and more people examining their faith and if their faith can stand on solid ground. GB knows that their days are numbered and desperately they are trying to keep as many prisoners behind WT's mind control walls. The entire religious system must change, since we have facts that show clearly that the world's 3 basic religions -Judaism, Muslims, Christianity have been build upon myths. Indeed myths and fairytales that some Hebrew misogynists nomads in the desert created by borrowing myths and ideas from Egyptians, Sumerians, Canaanites and later on Greeks.

WT is just a part of the system that controls humans along with the political of this world.

i am an atheist.

i arrived at this juncture in my life despite not wanting to.

when i first met the witnesses at 22 i was a seeker looking for answers to the question of life - in other words, prime cult target material.

I don't think so that WT does create atheists. It is a matter of personal choice, or most of all a long time research. I have also left WT, then I studied Christianity, then I decided to go through the Hebrew Scriptures, since Christianity comes from another religion, the Hebrew.

When I have done a serious examination of the Hebrew Scriptures (examine history, science of that era) the result was the Old Testament was nothing more than copy of older myths (Sumerian & Egyptian). Many stories never occurred, like the Hebrew captivity in Egypt and their Exodus. There is not a single evidence that 3 million Jews left Egypt during 1450 B.C and spend 40 years hanging around in the desert!!! Also there are many disturbing facts of the Hebrew God, he orders genocides in many cases, did war crimes, and atrocities. There is humiliating attitude towards women, for instance according to the Mosaic Law if she didn't scream loud enough in a rape attack she is guilty and she must stone to death. Or if she shouts loud then the rapper must give to her father 50 sickles of silver and he can get married of her!!!

There is many other staff like that, for instance Cain went to the land of Nod and got married and he builds a city!!! Or Lot's daughters that have sex with their father in order to bring offspring for him!!! Even in the Mosaic Law there is no mention of sex between father and daughter, thus women are considered mans belonging.

I have my points for Christianity as well, especially when I came through the Gnostic Gospels but I consider Jesus teachings universal, since they are based upon the universal law of love.

I like to question everything in order to come to a final result. I'm not an atheist. I believe there is a Creator behind everything, but I do not believe that He/She is behind any organized religion.

Is there no hope? (daughter getting baptized)

i'm really distraught about the fact my 23 year old daughter is ready to abandon a potential career in writing where her talent lies, and become a jehovah's witness.

i banned the study being held in our home, but it only hurt my relationship with my daughter, who screamed at me "i pay to live here and i'm not hiding, you're sabotaging my relationship with god!

" so i gave in.

WT is so good in brain washing. Since she is going to their meetings the process of brainwashing works perfectly, especially the: us vs them mentality. Evil vs bad, God vs devil. You cannot oppose to her, since this it will cause the defense mechanism implant to her by the WT to act against you. I suggest to show her the flip flop doctrines of the WT and the fact that they have a short history as a group(sect)but with many failed prophesies.

Try to show her for instance how did WT viewed organ transplans in 1964(it was OK) the in 1967(became cannibalist act!)and in 1980 again it was ok!. So who is to blammed for all those thousands who died between 1967-1980? God's spirit or a man made organization?

Then you can point out that their founder Russell what he believed as "truth" for at least 60 years, now it is consider "apostate teachings". Even their founder it wouldn't have a place amongst modern day JW's.

I was raised in that evil cult. I left when I was 35 and this caused me to lost my entire family. Your daughter is in danger. What I'm afraid is that after she becomes a JW, the "system" will push her to get married a "faithful brother" and it will turn things even worsed. I know how they are acting since I was raised there. Specially when there is a new single person that joins their club, the next thing they do is to find a "faithful mate" so they will lock him/her at their organization.
