It's been said on this board before, but if you're a work of religious literature, you don't get nowhere unless you're all things to all people. Also, being very long seems to help.

you therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together.
the third time let the sword do double damage.
it is the sword that slays, the sword that slays the great men, that enters their private chambers.
Cool, a spam fight!
i disassociated myself just over 2 years ago.
i grew up in the truth so now i feel a bit lonely and out on a limb with no friends.... feels so strange cos i had so many mates in the truth.
i still believe what jws believe and im not seeking an alternative religion or anything like that.
Yes, take some time and do a little reading around, on this site, other excellent sites and the various pieces of literature you'll see mentioned from time to time. Relax! You have plenty of time, because, and please be assured of this, the end is not comming any time soon or even any time at all.
The things we were all told, they were in fact total bollocks, 100% bullshit and pure uncut codswallop. Take all the time you need to research the truth about the truth - and that truth will truly set you free. That's just my opinion obviously, but doing your own reading and thinking is one of the greatest and simplest pleasures I know of.
You obviously have a brain in your head, so give it some exercise and do some reading around. It's good honest clean fun!

bear with me.
over the years jw have always strived after/prophesied (even though they deny this) a carrot ''date''.
as dates come and go, we hear about ''new light'', but according to the wt :-a new view of truth never can contradict a former truth.
... just got off my fat arse and looked on quotes' site, and there it is! A whole chunk about 2034. You learn something new everyday...

You'll have to forgive me for being a bit "out of the loop" as it were, but are the WBTS actually mooting 2034 as a date to be, you know, "watched out for"? Have I missed something here? If someone could point me in the direction of a reference where they've mentioned anything about 2034 I'd be grateful. I must admit, I thought they'd learned their lesson as far as dates were concerned!
Ta muchly,

check this out:.
"sure, it's total bullshit," jurgenson added.
"but that's fictionology.
That is brilliant! I'm a convert. I'll follow anything that takes the piss out of scientology.
Inspector Gadget is now my personal saviour.

well, after three times, it finally worked.
why are there so many religions all professing belief in the bible, yet all of them interpret the bible differently?
It sure looks to me like the Bible is anything but clear, and you and I don't stand a chance trying to figure the Bible out all on our own. One guy's opinion is as good as another's.Yet our very eternal salavation is supposed to depend on our making the right choice.
...and therefore in my opinion, our eternal salvation cannot depend on figuring the bible out, as it's so impossibly difficult to do so clearly and unambiguously. So, if I get up to the pearly gates and St Peter (it's St Peter, right, or is it another one?) says to me "oh, you should have interpreted the bible this way, not that way, I would have thought that was obvious, you idiot!" and sends me down into the firey pit of hell, I am going to be extremely annoyed.

well, are there any people on this db who are into gardening?.
i really love it, myself.
i am putting in quite a few vegetables this year.
I think there's more than two! Where are you gardeners hiding...
I've got into gardening over the last few years Banshee, since the current mrs iggy got an allotment a few years ago. I was dragged along reluctantly at first, to do the heavy digging, but now I really like it. Since the arrival of firstborn she's not able to do so much, so I'm trying to keep the allotment going on my own. At the moment I'm keeping the planting simple, potatoes, onions, beans, you know the easy stuff. I don't have much of an artistic flair for gardening with flowers and stuff, but I enjoy the more agricultural stuff (dig hole, put seed in, dig up later, that sort of thing).
Now I'm no longer a believer in the supernatural, but when I plant a seed, and a plant grows from it, well it's as good as a miracle to me. I've never tried herbs, but what you're doing sounds very interesting.
