  I'm not from England but I can see a pretty obvious pattern here. Christmas was never a sensitive subject while JW attended school for the last 100 years. Neither would the kids ever be expected to go to a Scientology workshop. No one would even suggest that school cafeterias should change so as not to offend Mormons. What am I getting at here? Any religion that is perceived as white or European does not need to be accommodated to and requires no sensitivity. To the contrary it is open game for mocking and ridicule.

  But on the other hand any religion that is perceived to be non-white is thought of as noble, wise admirable and much more in touch with spirituality and culture.

  People need to take the blinders of their eyes. Thousands of years and wars and conflict have apparently taught us that it’s a good idea to throw people from different religions, cultures, lifestyles, races, languages, ethnicities... into one location and they will all get along and strengthen that country. And when it doesn work, blame white people.

  sounds good. Christmas seems so non-jehovah witness. People are happy, singing and giving gifts..that doesnt sound very JW.

  I am so blessed to eat well and live well, but i always feel down at christmas. I remember being at school and the class would reherse their christmas carols. Little drummer boy was sung 100 times. Jingel bells. Tinsel and cut out decorations everywhere. Joy and happiness. .. and then there was me, sitting in the corner... "oh he isnt allowed to celebrate christmas".

  Things worked out well for me in the end, but I think of all the little JW's who have to pretend to not to want to be part of the joyful festival. It is so pathetic and stupid. Let kids imagine and dream. I promise you, god wont kill you in armegedon

  I think it's good to attack the watchtower policy that has allowed child abuse, but some people on this board seem to think that ALL JW's are pedos.

  It makes it sound like scary apostate stuff. Pedos are the most hated members of society therfore we must call JW's pedos. It's really childish.

  It seems one in 5 threads is about JW's being a child abuse org.

  anyone seen that episode on seinfeild where his old dad accuses everyone of anti semitism whenever something must go wrong? This must be a jewish thing because i've noticed it more and more. Even as an aussie. Seems in america you can poke fun at anyone except the jews. Which seems pretty stupid since you are the biggest supporters of Israel in the world.

  i think the thing i always hated is when my parents had to preach to my teachers.. in grade 6 we were going to watch jamanji but needed consent form because the film was pg13+ and we were 12. my mum sent me to school with a huge letter about spritism.

  i was the only one out of about 45 kids who had to sit out.. .

  The next was having to give letters to the teachers right through high school explaining I was away on Friday due to a circuit assembly of Jehovah's witnesses.

  And I also remember during birthdays, my mum gave the teacher a snack so I wouldn't eat the cake. The teacher would almost announce it. I guess my parents were trying to be nice but it drew more attention to me. She kept the chocolate bar in her desk draw and everytime someone saw her open it they knew that was my non birthday bar. LOL. A constant reminder.

  Oh and one more was when my parents had a fight with the teacher because the teacher insisted the camp was essential to my learning but my parents refused to let me go. Note to teachers: it makes us feel 10 times worse when you do this.

  New Video aka Sparlock- View of Active JW

  so over the weekend i was in a cargroup for service, yes i still go out but i dont ring doorbells or knock i just go out to keep wife and other elders off my back, anyway the video came up and i said nothing about it but the other 3 people in the car ( a pioneer and 1 elder, 1 publisher) said that it was good.

  yes you heard correctly good!

  the pioneer even stated that the annimation was good and it is short enough to hold a young childs attention.

  two things i just thought of then

  Notice they didnt throw sparlock in their home waste bin. Or even their outside wheely bin. They put it in a dump master bin.

  They must have walked to find one so that he could continue demonising the house from inside their bin.

  Secondly, notice how the mother made her son throw it out. When my parents didnt want me to have something they would take it away and throw it out when i wasnt looking. But this bitch makes the poor little boy be the one to throw his magical little friend in the bin. Therefore he may feel guiilty and he was made to feel it was HIS decition and HE did the actual act of throwing it out. When he tells his friend (who gave him the gift) what happened to sparlox he will have to say "I threw it out" not "mum threw it out"

  you know the worst part will be the friends mother will be freaking out.

  she will have a right to be angry and possibly over react.

  but shit happens. Dont let her stress you out by making out the world is ending.

  I know how "cotton wool" some parents are and if she is gonna make a huge deal (lawsuits, harrasment, guilt tripping) cut here off.

  I repeat, dont let the other mother stress you out and blow things out of proportion

  allot of domestic abuse goes both ways
