Do JW's Have A Tribulation Plan

it is likely that at some time or other there will be a major shtf scenario.. my parents always talked of all going to the kingdom hall and waiting it out while god destroyed the evil people.. but bethal doesnt actually have food stocks and medical stocks, does it?

they dont have a plan to distribute essential supplies to groups of jw's residing on watchtower owned land, do they?.

if there is a ww3 and the watchtower says "ok this is it, this is the big a" then what?.

Are my family going to run off to the circuit assembly building and expect all their survival needs will be provided for?

Will all JW's be expected to bring food staches and share them with eachother?

Is there any plan whatsoever?

so does anyone know why the JW's were so opposed to getting the checks?

I was thinking they maybe they thought that by doing the checks that they were admiting that they are responsible for screening and making sure children were safe. By not screening maybe they were saying "child safety has nothing to do with us, all responsibility lies with the individual members of JWs".

Christians Please Explain

since leaving all organized religion, all superstition, all acceptance of deity, i have a terrible time truly understanding 'religious' thought.. i really do.. how is it possible for thinking people to just accept, without proof, all they accept?

this morning i overheard a conversation between two christians in a coffee shop.

they say to me 'dad, what's wrong with just being a nice, good person?

The excuses and reasons for believing in religions and Gods can also be used to justify the JW religion.

How can we be so sure God isnt directing JW's? Since when did our human reasoning capabilities become the only way to truth?

The bible is full of just as many flaws as the Watchtower. The idea of a God is full of flaws aswell.

Atheists are usually quite consitant. They dont give the tooth fairy any more credibility than Jehovah or voodo any more credabilty over Islam .

If You Were God How Would You Prove You Existed

i ask this because obviously everyone has different criteria, hence why we have muslims who think quran is the more than enough proof, christians who think the bible is perfect proof and atheists who believe that nothing yet has been proof enough of gods existence.. living with humans we all must have a good idea of human nature (god should certainly know) so what would you provide as proof if you were god to convince the masses of your existence?.

if you were a christian would your proof surpass that contained in the bible, would you provide less proof?.

if you are atheist would you provide a mathematical equation or a series of supernatural events that fulfill prophecies every 100 years?.

^ if an athiest was hypothetically a God he would no longer be athiest

but if he then was to prove he was God, what would he give as proof?

when i saw this article on the news it really disturbed me.

the callousness of the 'people' walking by this poor, sweet baby as she lay writhing in pain and all alone, was horrific to say the least.

my blood truly felt like it ran cold and i've been thinking about this little girl all night.

BTW, I find it strange when people jump to the defence of the by standers and trucker with some psychology rubbish that a pompous collage grad pulled out their ass.

In australia people often die saving the life of strangers. We even had people jumping into the line of fire when a ganster was shooting his girlfriend. the girlfriend died along with the good samaritan (who wasnt even a citizen) who was shot.

I would like to see how many walk walk past a bleeding girl without doing anything in Australia.

As for china, I think the only excuse for walking past a dying infant and not so much as pick up a phone would be if they have become so desensitised to death that they no longer feel empathy. Maybe they have seen so much horror that they no longer care

so there are a few here saying that chinese are rude, it's part of their culture.

But when they come to australia they seem overly polite. Why is that?

I have noticed some at supermarkets just walk right into you but I always figured that was because in china there is no space so they have no idea about personal space.

harris zafar, national spokesperson of the ahmadiyya muslim community usa, does not mince words on the subject, stating in a huffington post opinion piece that "islam prescribes absolutely no punishment for apostasy.".

i think you need to compare the worst with the worst. I watched a video recently about muslims in africa who nailed a little boy to a tree for sneaking into a church. They gang raped a little girl to death for some other minor sin like mispronoucing a Islamic word. Compare that to the worst case of apostate shunning in the Org and I think you'll get a more realistic picture.
