  "...When we first went to the Brighton Centre there would be cleaning staff not wearing branded clothing and no passes so you would see them being followed. As an attendent you could sit back and watch as a guy with a bucket and bin liners in his pockets was followed by one or two watchmen straight into the toilets, the security detail stopping suddenly and then trying to look like they were not following anybody as soon as they realised their mistake. Very funny".

  Hi K99,

  On reflection, do you think these watchmen were doing the right thing? Do not you think this shameful practices of following people indicates that the WTS is a cult group? Is not this practices a world wide Phenomenon? Hi Apognophos, there is no evidence to indicate that these two men [ Knorr and Covington ] were perhaps 'covering up' for the WTS president. Had that big head had a backpain, we would have seen him walking like this guy below

  

  Other that, its plausible to believe that the two gentlemen and regardless of their station in WTS hhierarchy, were actually guards to protect the big head from harm.

  Being a Witness results in selfish and self centered people!

  i have noticed that many witnesses are very self centered and selfish people as a result of "leaving everything in god's hands to correct".

  what i mean is, because "the kingdom will fix poverty, the homeless, poor, underpriveleged, etc...." it means they can just pass by those in need, or fulfill their natural human desire to help (if they have it) by just giving literature!.

  so, just preach to those in need, and then you can feel good and smug about yourself!.

  Very interesting post. stuckinarut2, when you states "... But generally witnesses have been taught to supress or rid themselves of any human niceness by having "the kingdom will fix it" drummed into their brains!.." you are spot on. This is my personal experiences. This kind of attitude also breeds apathy and at worst, stiffles creativity.

  Please, clarify on that statement. For a cult group with all its bellicose statements attacking mainstream Christian religion groups and their supposedly abhorrent worldly leaning​s, can we say it was plausible that a president of this cult group would stomp so low as to emulate the lifestyle of a group he consider to be anathema?

  It thinks, the photo raises more questions than answers. For Nathan Knorr (L) and Hayden Covington (R) to walk with canes as if they were individuals with disabilities other than body guards for their WBT$ President Rutherford creates a misleading impression that these high-powered WBT$ individuals were up to something differently than what is portrayed in the photo. Was only on that occasion that Nathan Knorr and Hayden Covington were seen walking with canes? Or it was only during occasions when they with their WBT$ President Rutherford? Why then was not their elderly leader, the WBT$ President Rutherford not walking with an umbrella other a support Cane? I think, Mr. Outlaw has a point when he bring out attention to the ‘Notice [of] WBT$ President "Judge" Rutherford[‘s]…Personal Bodyguards ...Carrying Canes”.

  The Chinese Military

  every year since i started my china studies program, i've noted western pollies asking for the chinese government to be more transparent in regard to the chinese military.. i'm not quite sure what 'being transparent' means, does it mean giving the west access to all military secrets?

  during my recent visit to china i can't recall seeing one soldier.. but, due to the cica - asian security conference, held in shanghai while i was in china, there were lots of extra police on the streets, maybe because the russian president putin attended.

  but the most exciting thing to happen was (apparently) the finalisation of negotiations on the supply of russian energy to china.

  Thank for updates about china and its PLA. I think, China is getting modernized each day. Having one only aircraft carrier certainly makes it vulnerable to cruise missile attack. In my opinion, air superiority is the key to maintaining superpower status. China unfortunately, is still behind this game.

  Wow, unbelievable. Hi OUTLAW, why do you think they were carrying canes? Are not canes reseved for people with disabilities? By the way, they might as well as have been carying guns sometimes way back in those years. One poster on this this site told me that guns were a common sight at the Bethel headquarters in New York. It that is true, then it must be as terribly shocking as as anyone can imagine.

  Darrin Hart , for you to have beeen a Jehovah's Witness for over 40 years, 16 of them as an appointed elder and ministerial servant then eventually finding the TATT, I think, must have been a tough and challening decision to move out. I think, you found out much to your chagrin that many of your friends from within were nolonger your friends and you had to start all over again. Correct?

  Outlaw, ways to go. That 'JW Sherriff' might find a better job as a TV commedian.
