  i have no idea what i want to convey in words here on this site, and have surprised myself by even joining at all.

  i intended just to read, and get a few pieces of information, and now am a member, and spend many hours looking through posts old and new alike.

  i am a current jw, born into it, and lets just say i'm in my thirties, female, and a mom of more than your average kids.

  What's with all the 'Imminent' nonsense?

  could it be that the proximity of 2014 is at the heart of it?.

  i have no contact with jw's - except on this board - but my wife does at times with her family.

  imminent is the cry of the sky for the jw's it seems.. i recall the years leading up to 1975 with a lot of that sort of thing.

  "Christian," Music?

  just wondering...they ssay too stay away from babylon the great and everything about her.

  what about music from bands that claim they're "christian?

  " some i can kinda see if they have god in the lyrics, but others just claim it and the songs don't have it in the lyrics.. everyone interprets music differently, don't they?

  Lack of Love - Your Experiences?

  i wanted to start a thread on this subject because i am so curious to get other observations on this.. .

  the one thing that started me on the journey of questioning my involvement in the organization was the blatant lack of love that i had seen in so many instances.

  did i have doctrinal questions - yes!

  I was stalked and harrassed through several congregations. It started off with one person, who recruited her family and eventually all her friends until the majority of people were treating me like I was df'ed, even when I wasn't.

  Nothing was done about it until they started doing criminal acts and I went to the city police. There was an investigation and enough evidence to lay charges.

  But nothing done on a congregational level. They viewed it as a "personality conflict".

  I think the biggest problem in the congs are the "sisters". They are so nasty to each other, and the ones who have husbands with priveledges, will bad-mouth to their husbands, so that others are not appointed.

  I stopped believing a long time before I left that the elders are appointed by HS.

  Eating Cleaner

  i'm beginning to keep a bowl of fresh fruit, cup of peanuts, raw baby carrots and ranch dressing, and water by my computer desk at home so when i need a snack between meals, i can graze.

  i find it difficult to eat too much when it is clean food.. clean food: naturally occuring food that you can recognize..

  There's a really good magazine called "Clean Eating".

  I'm a subscriber, and the recipes are excellent.

  They all have ingredients you likely already have at home, some organic recipes, all low-fat.

  It's really a great magazine!

  easy like sunday morning...

  ahhhhh!

  a lay in, slowly pottering around, doing whatever i like, a full english breakfast at 11ish, meeting freinds in town for coffee in the arvo... dodging all the jw's waving their mags as i walk through.... now that we are free, what do you do with your sunday mornings?.

  Slept in, cus I hosted a party last night for my man, who got his purchasing designation!!

  Ate the leftovers from last night.

  Afternoon delight.....

  BBQ for the coaches of the teen football team he volunteers for.

  Watchin TV with a glass of wine.

  Now, I'm ready for work tomorrow!!
