families were attending mid-night showings of the dark knight movie.. the media should not give publicity tothe names of the perpetrators, they often crave the fame.
give them that fame and others will crave it too.. my thoughts are with the families of all that are affected, a horrific and pointless act that will bring so much pain and sorrow.. edited to say, seems as though it was a lone gunman..

What pisses me off is that I go to the Yahoo home page and what do I see, not a picture of families in support of each other, no!! I see a picture of the SOB that killed 12 people and injured many others. Why oh why do we put these peoples faces in "prominent light"... Sort of rewarding their horrible actions with popularity?

Interesting thread... Since all posts to pastebin are anonymous, it's quite easy for someone to try to misdirect efforts. I trust very little posted there.
On the positive side of things as long as there is chatter present on the "interwebs", it might get picked up by someone who has some spare time on his/her hands with nothing better to do that poke around the WT servers.
If there really is incriminating evidence in a computer readible for that is connected somehow to the internet, I sincerely hope that it comes to light.

Finklestein: This idiot was well prepared and had on hand a whole cache of explosives and other illegal weapons. I don't think a ban on automatic weapons would have hindered his quest one iota.

The more I think about it, the more disgusted I am. It seems to me that we put so much effort into building a life ( both physically and socially ) and some nut-job comes out here with minimal effort and brings such chaos and carnage.
So hard to build up, yet so easy to tear down...

I don't know if gun control would have been effective in this case. The suspect had body armor, tear gas and a gas mask in addition to a gun. As I understand it, the body armor and tear gas have some controls around it already.
I'm beginning to think that Americans need 3 things:
- Education on health care - preventative medicine, diet and exercise
- Personal financial management - how to manage you money even if you only have a couple spare dollars per month -- it adds up
- Personal defense - Self defense including hand to hand combat and how to use a gun.
