Demand does not equal jobs in an age when most things are made with little ( or less and less ) human intervention every day.
Productivity is up largely because of the increased automation in almost every sector. This increase in automation required capital -- "rich folks" who have stocks.

I'm not sure which way I'd go... the Rich keep their money and "invest it someplace" (off shore accounts) or the government take it and "invest it "someplace" (give it to their favorite foreign country)....
We don't have jobs largely because we don't need that many people to make stuff anymore -- productivity is up and jobs are down.

I remember one time we hired a contractor who we knew was a witness, he didn't know we knew his "JWness". After a couple of weeks worth of work, he asked how we found him and I told him about a mutual friend (JW) he asked if we were and we told him that we were. That following week, he never showed up, we had problems with the work after that and the project was barely completed in time to what I would consider substandard quality. I figure that he felt we couldnt sue him so we were put on the back burner.
JW's cheap, lazy, basically untrustworthy... Im glad Im out.

here i am, getting old and having my teeth and fillings (literally!
) falling apart now, and barely any dental coverage.
i just feel so sad and pissed off that i didn't do more when i was a jw and actually had coverage at the time.... .
As we were fading, I decided to get braces at the suggestion of my dentist (who was worried about my severely overcrowded teeth). I remember getting looks of "you are not putting gods kingdom first" from the local "pio-sneers". It was quite upsetting at the time. I'm so glad that I did -- its so nice to be able to eat apples and bite into a sandwich and see the curved outline of the bite (and not the jagged boxy shark-teeth cut).

Well I went to that page and immediately got a whole bunch of weird "anti-virus" warnings. I'm running an up to date Norton with the latest definitions loaded. So I know I'm not hacked, but that page is VERY suspicious.
