Murder for personal or financial gain it indeed selfish, greedy, loathsome, but I dont think I can call it pure evil unless they actually enjoyed the suffering of others. If the primary motive is greed and self interest but lacks the "personal enjoyment" of the crime and suffering of others. I have to say it's nearly evil, but not pure evil.
There is a special place in hell for those whom I would classify as "Pure Evil".

Any hosted image that is linked here in the body of a text message has the possibility of being a data mining "pseudo-cookie". Each time we load the content of the posts, our browser is re-directed to load the image from the other site. That request served by the picture's host site contains the ip address and a set of HTML headers that tell the hosting server a lot about your browser and the site that you are looking at.
No, Im not paranoid, I just know that an IP address does not easily identify a person. There would have to be another connection that links a real person logging into the WT.Org site then that same machine would have to load a "pseudo-cooke" link image here. Also, most of us do not have static IP addresses so our ISP refreshes the DHCP entries from time to time.

To me, pure evil is someone who enjoys inflicting pain and suffering upon others. This could be montary or physical. I dont really think many people classify as pure evil. Just because someone is a greedy bastard who enjoys the upper hand in every financial transaction doesnt make them pure evil, this person may just be ignorant of the suffering they are causing others. Greedyness and financial myopia go hand in hand.
Pure evil has to have intention to harm others and it must also enjoy the suffering of others, it's not just schadenfreude.

Since my wife is starting to review pagan traditions, we are trying to make note of special days just to honor and hold special the passing of time. The solstices are great markers in time to take a few minutes and reflect on the past 6 months.
Unlike the JW's who dont like to celebrate anything because if anyone were to notice all the birthdays and "holidays" passing - they mignt take notice that time is indeed passing them by.

ZidGrips and ZidChains....
by ziddina inhere's a little idea i've been batting around for a while, and i finally produced several pairs.... for those of you who followed the "mouthy" situation, when she fell down, perhaps you know that i sent a pair of "yaktraxtm" to her.
they're produced commercially, and are made to slip over one's shoes to provide a grip on icy streets and sidewalks.. they're fine for the occasional usage, but when hubby and i went hiking, i found that the rocks and high-mileage hikes [8-12 miles] were destroying the "yaktraxtm" - sometimes even before i finished a hike.. i was going through a pair every two months or less.... so i came up with my own version - something a bit more durable.... i call them, "zidgrips".
and on the suggestion of heaven, i came up with another type, called "zidchains".. so, here's the story in pix - including how to put on the zidgrips and zidchains - which i'm including for heaven's sake... .
