  i read on an ex-jws italian forum that in certain congregations witnesses are getting rid of their hello kitty toys.

  the reason?

  well, it's because the hello kitty is mouthless ... and that's how the "story" (the metropolitan legend) goes: .

  so i sifted through some of it.

  actually i'm shocked it's not as bad (if they just practiced what was in here) as i thought but ran across a couple different days like this one.

  well to start i was raised a jw.

  my girlfriend is as member of sovereign grace ministries.

  i have not been to a meeting in 15 years, i have attended the memorial every year.

  Change of Heart

  i am writing in to say that i have come to a decision to return to the meetings at my local kingdom hall.

  after much soul searching and careful thought, i feel happy with my decision.. i have decided to submit this on the jwdf to prove to god that i am genuine in my sincerity towards him and to show repentance for the things i have said in the past.

  Preaching to JW's

  i know everyone here has different feelings about "religion/god, etc.

  " i now consider myself christian, got baptized in a baptist church, etc.. i have my own business and have two jw's that occasionally work for me.

  my mom is a devout jw.. the other day for a reason that came up unrelated to religion/god, a groomer who works for me was asking me about the church woman's bible study i'm involved with while we were working.

  What I did this morning instead of service

  ok, so my man coaches pee-wee football.

  so i go at 10 this morning to watch 13 eight to ten year olds fumble around on the field for 2 hours.

  but this was an "optional" practice and so the ones who showed up - really wanted to be there to learn.

  Have you been able to find security after leaving JW's?

  i've been a non-jw (apostate, da--depending on who's reading) for about seven years now after growing up at jw.

  one of the hardest things i've had to overcome was the sense of security that being a jw gives you.

  for example: i personally am somewhat affraid to fly and remember growing up praying as hard as possible that the plane wouldn't go down and for god to ease my nerves; it usually worked.
