i remember when i was 10 years old (that was 15 years ago), some jw brother in our congregation talked to me and he said he can't wait for us to be perfect in the paradise.
i asked him how can we become perfect all of a sudden since sin is "stained" into us.
he said that's because satan and demons won't be around anymore.
Here's another question I've always wondered about:
Adam was in paradise. It was perfect... and yet, he was lonely. So right from the get-go, it really wasn't a perfect situation... at least not for Adam. So then if God is perfect, why wasn't Eve created at the same time as Adam so he never felt lonely?
he brought it upon himself due to many issues, but she (well i truly am guessing the dubette she is studying with) has decided that the best way for him to start to behave is to get closer to jehovah.
he has already told me that it will most likely cause him to just get worse because he doesn't 'believe in all that crap'.
i am not going to be able to study with him, i know she and the dubs would not allow that, don't think i am labeled apostate, but am sure i am not far from it.
I'd recommend getting him the book "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" by Sean Covey ( http://www.seancovey.com/books_7habits.html ).
unfortunately i had the "flu" friday and saturday.
but i made it to the sunday session to make an apperance.. on sunday, i learned that we are,... ready, this is a new one for me :"...on the doorstep of the great tribulation..." so close brothers!

My father told me the same thing after he attended the DC. "They're saying it's really close now." I said "Really. They've said that before." He says "Not like this." I said "Yes. He urged young people not to marry or have children. 'In the months before Armageddon....' he said. That was over 70 years ago, Dad." There is typically a stunned silence when I say these things.
Oh well... I have some weeding to do... and the lawn needs cutting too. I don't think I can wait on Armageddon regarding these things.

KDubbz... some very excellent points and questions. I have asked these as well. I didn't get any answers ... just peoples' opinions (as usual).
The idea of paradise is one of the marketting ideas/techniques used by JWs to recruit people. I have seen WTS graphic depictions of paradise on earth with a tractor in the background and a house with siding and windows, etc. Hmmm... If everything is a paradise and perfect here on earth what do we need houses and tractors for?
Is it truly possible to have a Universe without opposites? Light without Dark, Happiness without Sadness, White without Black, Up without Down, In without Out? Maybe... maybe not. We live in the physical realm so we are shaped and moulded by this. We haven't seen any proof that life without opposites is possible in our lifetime nor in lifetimes past.

I've often wondered about this contradiction. Why, if the Big A is imminent, does the WTS constantly plan and schedule assemblies?

i was that one way to increase my field service time for me and my wife was by standing at a truck stop and hand out tapes to truckers in the early mornings.

for me it was when my elder dad put brusies on my arm, drug me down the hallway making me hit my head and broke my finger which resulted in surgery...and then he blamed it all on me!!!!

But the holier-than-thou attitude, the hypocrisy, and the false prophesies and doctrines all add to the steaming pile of shiite known as the WTS.
