"Don't you love Jehovah anymore then ?"
by Phizzy inmrs phizzy ran into a jw lady from a neighbouring congo who has known us since we were teenagers, before we married, sometime in the pleistocene era lol.. during the conversation said lady asked if mrs phizzy was going to the r.c, to which mrs phizzy replied, "oh you haven't heard, we no longer go to meetings".. the jw lady then came back with the question in the thread title, which mrs phizzy handled well.. the point of this is though, what a god-awful, stupid, cult-minded question to ask !.
did she think we woke up one morning and thought "we don't love god anymore" ??
would that happen to anyone ?.

They asked why we missed meetings.... Jeh isnt the one who offended us? I said to the elder we haven't left him, in fact we read the bible more than you and discuss it everyday. He just smiled. Which is true. Look at how we apoststes know our bibles. When we left Bethel we had to tell them, it's not like we've left Jehovah! We were one step ahead before they asked. And that was that. Like you said "have a nice day!" -

I was handed a bible study while the "teacher" was away. This bible student asked what did it mean when the announcement was made that someone is no longer a jw. This student is regular at all meetings, had started preaching and was about to be announced as a publisher when he got into some trouble and got a private reproof(!?) not to comment or preach. He is still in the bible teach book. So I tried enlightening him and will show him what the second book says to see his reaction. At least he will know early but he looks hooked to the borg already. -

JW Hatred and Elders Apathetic Manners Drove Me Here! Why are JWs fooled in to thinking the WTS Cares?
by Judas Maccabee infor years i've been screwed with by some very bad people, people satan would kick out of his organization because even the devil might let up on evil just to allow someone to catch their breath.
with the jwism's bad people move up while good people move down or leave the kingdom hall for good.
i was talking with two elders who said "you know if you return to the kingdom hall, jehovah will bless you and these people will stop screwing with you.

First of all congratulate yourself for being awake and that your heart was not blinded by the corrupt thinking that the others still decide to keep in the organisation. Many of us here have resigned as elders and are on our fadding journey. Please read through the forums on the advice to think and go cautiously in your fade. As for your wife, seems she didn't give you the real picture of who she really was before you got together. It's common. She sounds like one who would go all lengths to self preserve and make your fade (and life) absolutely difficult by talking about you to the jw's on all what you say and do.
Welcome, thanks for your post and sorry for the trials you are going through.

Child Abuse - "I don't care. I haven't got any children".
by cofty inearlier this week i bumped into a couple of jws who i recognised from the cult cart.
a few months ago i had a long conversation with him one of them and found him to be quite friendly.
he is new to the area in the years since i left.. this time he was very defensive and said he wasn't allowed to talk to me.

Joe Grundy. Seems to me that when JWs know they have nothing to say they fall back on infantile comments.
True. The ranks are not prepared to deal with questions to their face of this nature. True cognative desonance. Their "it's not true, it's not happening comments turn out to be" I don't care. " Maybe they should start thinking of having such issues demonstrated at their service meetings. I wonder if it will be considered in the UK to talk about how to handle this issue during their field service group meetings in the following weeks?

Thank you all, thank you nicolaou for that download link. It worked. Very nicely done report. It would have been a plus to get in that report jwtv's comment that we should not listen to such reports as they are appostate, but it seems the BBC report was compiled before that.
All in all this report will go along way. I beleive its not the first of such report from BBC or others. Anyone has links from any of such I can download?

July 19th Watchtower Summary. Insanity
by Lemonp injust got back from the wt study and it overall was just so blindingly biased and leading.. i had to read it from the platform too, i hope they couldn't see the confounded look on my face as i read this craziness out!.
first we consider the faith of abel, enoch, noah, abraham, isaac and jacob, and moses.. all of these people are held up as sterling examples of blind faith, with the article pointedly saying that their imaginations sustained their faith in gods promises for them.
no mention anywhere at all that all of these characters saw and talked to angels, spoke to god himself, saw and performed miracles, or any of the other feats experienced by these characters.

Datagdog This horrible article seems to be aimed at the Elderly who are now too weak, mentally and emotionally, to leave the ORG. After decades of misquoting their savior, they now have to ask, " where else would we go?"
That goes on in the next article. Older brother with poor eyesight. See that terrified look on his face? That according to paragraphs 5 and 6 that he can't read the bible and go from house to house, a statement repeated twice regarding this old brother. Puleeze!

Power blackout during the meeting tonight!
by stuckinarut2 init was so funny!.

Lol. Is that an issue there? We have it almost every thursday due to power rationing here in the dark continent. So we're better prepared for the blackouts that the meeting parts. ;D
Make's it hard to read irrelevant material though!

Will the Watchtower ever turn against K-12 public education?
by cappytan inwhen i was in school, you never heard about critical thinking skills...not till you started taking college level courses.. i work closely with the public education community.
now, the big rage in public education is instilling critical thinking skills from kindergarten on up.. and i'm in texas!
imagine what it's like in more liberal areas.. i would not be surprised if the watchtower started denigrating and discouraging public education (k-12).. it would likely start like this: .

Jws But think they'd actually do it? I don't think it's their business model.
They just might. That was the hoola baloo they tried with jw youths going to boarding schools. That our kids would not be supervised in Jehovah's ways to remove the brain washing pressure from schools and educators.
This too would prove a threat to their ice cream money since their drive now seems a lot focused on the little ones. They just might intervene.

Where are all these New Anointed Ones Coming from?
by John Aquila inback in the early 70s, right before 1975 we had about 7 or 8 thousand professed anointed.
cant remember the exact number.
but at every convention we were told that the end is close ---because---the number of anointed is getting smaller and smaller.

Hey.!! See how quickly we've moved from going to holy heaven to unholy sex? ;D
"Mixing food from Jehovah's table and demons." Seems we were well trained at our kingdom halls.
