Oldseeker, that sounds strange that they would again change or even modify it... its been only 2 years or so from the last change.. anyway it would be interesting to hear more about this.

1914 only mentioned ONCE in new book! Can anyone confirm this?
by nicolaou inin the new release, 'bearing thorough witness about gods kingdom' i could only find a single reference to 1914 on page 31. this is it;.
"each year, hundreds of thousands accept this offer and become baptized disciples of christ.
indeed, we are living at the time of the "restoration of all things" referred to by peter.

TOH, in order to see it you have to log in (and only some selected elders in the congregation have the access, usually the PO/coordinator and secretary)

Everything About Being An Elder is Weird (my misc rambling memories of being an elder)
by AllTimeJeff infor any brother who is a jehovah's witness, the goal is put before them to reach out for the privilege of being an elder.
i can only speak for myself, but being born into the religion, i wanted to be an elder since i was 5. i would have much rather wanted to be a doctor or engineer, but those are the breaks..... i'll skip the part about what it takes to reach out, all the crap you have to put up with as a ministerial servant to get appointed, and go straight to the reality.. i know many elders who sincerely just wanted to be shepherds.
i did want the spotlight.

I was also very young when appointed and I guess I really wanted the job back then - basically for two reasons: I really had not anything else in my life and I also loved giving talks, that really was my thing and I guess I was pretty good at it (maybe that was the main thing why they appointed me). It didnt take me more than 6 months or so to see through the whole thing, how it was all about politics and rules and how little holy spirit had to do with anything of it. Some elders really love their "positions", they want to look important, they are so nice to CO's so they can get some program parts in the assemblies... and often they dont do a lot of FS (there are some exceptions though but they are minority) though they talk a lot about it on the platform, in reality its often those poor single pioneer sisters who work the hardest in the field while the elders travel all around the world and buy new fancy cars..

JW diseases
by highdose inon the subject of health matters i was mentaly listing all the comman illnesses that the dubs lay claim to, most of the time this is self diagnosed and with no imput from a dr. in fact the comman story is that "the drs won't belive me!".
a large number of jw's i knew went and got tested for allergies, this was the big thing for years.
every single one of them turned out to be allgeric to the same stuff ( wheat, dairy, sugar) ... i should point out that they all went to the one "dr" for this, the "dr" in question had never had any medical training and had done only a basic course.

ME not a real illness?? I have seen people with this syndrome who really cant get out of bed because of the extreme weakness. Shame on everybody who claims thats its not a real illness. Sure some people can fake they have it but there are a lot of people who do really have it.

Jesus' Role as Mediator
by sd-7 ini just had a thought--never a good sign, right, ladies?--about jesus' role as mediator, as defined by the watchtower society.
i personally experienced a particularly interesting moment with my mother back when i first started to lose faith in the borg.
(i'm actually going to use that term, borg, now because "organization" makes me cringe every time i hear it, even when it's used at work.

As other have said the video would be good if there the error about Matthew 24:29-31 was not there. That needs to be fixed.

I dont understand why people would make fun of ill people ("self-diagnosed" or not, some illnesses today are so complex and unknown that they are always not so easy to diagnose anyway, like it might be with MCS or CFS for example)
