with the org creating so many new songs, we should give them assistance in coming up with better ideas....!.
"everyone will die, except for us".
(happy, upbeat song about dead bodies after the big a).

oversight.
The new design will be a bit more commercial in nature – dryvit/stone/ flat roof with parapet / mechanicals on the roof
Recognizable Images like JW.org
Transparency – windows and a store front like entrance - that passersby will be able to see into
Welcoming Atmosphere –this new design will draw people in
Self Serve Literature display immediately in the lobby – this first thing you see – it will mimic what the public is used to seeing in our Metropolitan cart witnessing
The whole idea is like “branding” – or “franchising” – and very recognizable building / logo / message repeated over and over across the country.
So now they'll be the McDonald's of religion.......oh wait they already are. Serving up cheap crappy "spiritual" food for over 100 years. Billions and billions of rags disposed of on an annual basis.
I'm guessing they'll parade their "great" idea of making the KH's more like storefronts as if they're such trailblazers, like they always do. Oh but wait, Christendom already does churches in storefronts. Wow, way to reinvent the wheel JW.crap. Riding Christendom's coattails since inception!!
this new series' pilot episode is the perfect allegory for the blind faith of the average person in the jw movement, those who deny that anything 'immoral' or sinister happens within the ranks, the double lives, doubters, and towards the end of the episode, an example of how the governing body controls persons' lives.
check it out and tell me if you saw all the parallels.
i think it's my new favourite show.. http://tv-series.me/2014/12/15/ascension-s1e1-season-1-episode-1/.
JW07:
Funny you should mention the parallel to JW's. I was watching the 2nd installment of the show with my girlfriend last night and when Harris asked "if you had it as good as they have it, would you want to know the truth?" I almost crapped myself because my first thought was "no, I wouldn't want to know". Then I actually thought about it for a second and realized, hell yes I would want to know.
They've got all their hopes in a "promised new world" where everything would be new and great but when it comes down to it they relly have nothing good coming. Just let down on top of disappointment while they waste their lives away on a false hope. Good show.
in fort worth, texas around 1959. gradually i became aware of the argot.
special, private language).
jw's had these phrases they used over and over again.. upon first hearing, these words and phrases stood out as odd, weird or awkward.. however.
"The old system of things" seems to have been exchanged for "this wicked system"
"New system of things" and as already stated "New world" is favored over the "New Order "
the governing body is preparing to take a major hit.
this recent watchtower shows it.
not the new understandings, but the article on marriage.
In the picture the bridesmaid in the center is not smiling. I wonder why?
She has gas and she's trying to slip one out quietly
lol!!.

LOL!! It actually does look a bit like him
bumped.......Any more?
im sure someone must have posted this before but here goes.. q: how many jws does it take to change a lightbulb?.
a : jws are not allowed to change lightbulbs.
anyone attempting to introduce new light gets disfellowshipped.. .
It takes a 2/3 vote from the GB first. From there it's going to take multiple WT writing staff to put together an article explaining why Jehovah needs the light changed. Next you need Elder Window Washer from each congregation to pretend they even understand the changing of the light as he tries to explain it to the rest of the JW's.
i never was a jw (i make this point in - almost - every post) but having been brought up ('raised' for our us cousins) in a non-conformist fundy sect with 'rapture' aspirations, it wasn't that different.. i still have extended family members in it, or in that mindset, but we rarely discuss religion.
in particular, my sister and bil lost their son (my nephew) some years ago when he was just 13. their comfort is that he is in a 'better place' and i don't want to challenge that to them.. i keep up with all things jw here in this forum and maintain my academic interest and these are just my thoughts as an outsider, for what they are worth.. ime, those people who have heard of jws tend to lump them in with mormons and other crazies and have no knowledge or interest in them - other than to warn neighbours when they are about.. where i live should be prime 'witnessing' territory but they rarely come round, even in the recent leafletting campaign.
they are not as effective as the people who regularly call with the latest menus from the local curry/chinese/kebab houses.. on the occasions when jws have called, despite invitations to come in and have a cup of tea, etc., none has ever wanted to engage in conversation, far less progress to an invitation to a kh meeting or start a bible study (and i always present myself as an 'imterested householder').. my conversations with people in general and friends in the real world lead me to conclude that few people have heard of jws, those that have regard them as a minor irrevelant nuisance and that there is no interest in their message or beliefs.. a few months ago i did a 'drive-past' of the million pound seafront property in bangor, north wales that wt recently bought for use as a 'translation office' (ha ha!).
Insidethekh:
Jehovah's Witnesses themselves are aware they are just a minor and tiny religion and throughout history it was always like that. The israelites were just a tiny nation.... noah and only 7 others were saved.. abraham and Lot only ones that were saved etc etc always tiny amounts of believers that were seen as 'right' and the big majority seen as 'wrong'
I'd agree that this is the case when it suits a JW to point to 'thus and such' as being evidence that they are the only true religion.
One minute a JW will point to their large numbers and rapid growth as proof that they are the truth (we're the fastest growing religion out there I've heard), then the next minute when it's pointed out how relatively small they are then that becomes the proof as well because "narrow is the path and few are those that find it".
I've had this exact conversation with my JW mom and she can spin any point I make into evidence that JW's have the true religion.
what saying made it all around the country?.
the ones that were passed around, word of mouth.. for example.
"donations basis proves jehovah is behind the work!".
"You know it's the truth"
