With all this real estate money coming availabe they should help out starving witnesses in third world countries and give more to the missionaries to assist in growing literal food. More and more the missionaries are dipping into their meager Bethel allowance to feed congregation members that are subsisting on possibly one meal a day. There used to be more equalizing with funds, but no longer. When there was need a letter was sent out to all congregations and we all had the joy of giving to the needy ones worldwide. Then central fund was sent out and the donors were to trust certain ones in charge of the fund to send money out where they thought is was needed most. No more letters and not more joy and increasingly poor JWS. With this move to Canada, one wonders what new regulation or law is about to go into operation that they are trying to stay ahead of?

The Governing body has taken group shots in the past. What I don't understand is why the rest of the anointed are not invited to be in a group photo? They are worldwide true, but arrangements could be made to have them flown into Bethel for the opportunity. After all if most of the 144,000 are already in heaven according to the GB, then it shouldn't be too many to arrange the event for right? Then the mystery of who they all are would no longer be a mystery. The GB does not want to recognize any other anointed. If another faithful one says they are anointed, they are repremended for "letting their light shine." The oil is only for the GB and not for the other ten virgins. When the annual meeting occurs in October I bet again there will be no invitiation sent out for other anointed to attend and give input into organizational decisions. With so much emphasis toward the GB being the earthly ruling FDS, what role is humility playing here? Since the organization is worldwide, there must be concerns in other countries about this lack of humility on the GB's part?

Spanish JW's Upset Over Bethel Move
by Gary1914 inon april 1, 2009 a letter was sent from the governing body of jehovahs witnesses to congregations in spain informing them that the printing, shipping, and storage of watchtower publications would be discontinued at the madrid branch office.
the letter expressed confidence that the spanish witnesses would, despite the move, continue to generously support the world wide work and ends with an appeal to remain united under the direction of the witness leadership.. at a glance, this story may seem like a non-issue, perhaps, just another example of reorganization and consolidation within a multinational corporation; however, the dissolution of the printing branch has caused considerable hard feelings among some of jehovahs witnesses in spain.
to understand the reason we must first look at the history behind the branch office and external factors that some feel prompted this abrupt move.. early in their history, jehovahs witnesses began printing their trademark watchtower magazines and associated books and tracts in-house at their bethel headquarters in brooklyn, new york.

Remember the love of the greater number would cool off? Do we have a problem with the Corban issue again? Are we robbing Peter to pay Paul? Are we neglecting to look after widows and orphans? Did not the Pharisees intentionally seek loopholes in the Law Covenant? Did we not think Judas Iscariot was a thief for mishandling theocratic funds? Isn't it interesting that for so many years Watchtower railed against false religion for their "snare and a raquet" tactics, and yet now find themselves in the same activity? Oh I'm sorry, we're not supposed to question their motives.

British Sociologist Predicts Possible Collapse in Jehovah's Witness Numbers
by slimboyfat ina newly published article by british sociologist david voas argues jehovah's witnesses may be about to experience a collapse in numbers.
contrary to claims by american sociologist rodney stark who predicts strong future growth for jehovah's witnesses, voas shows that jehovah's witnesses' efforts at recruiting new members have become increasingly unsuccessful over the past few decades: the rate of increase has steadily declined, and the number of hours each publisher must preach to produce an extra convert has gone up substantially.
voas suggests a reason for the stagnation may be that there is a natural limit to the number of people in a given population that are susceptible to conversion to sectarian groups like jehovah's witnesses - the 'carrying capacity' of the population, and that the limit has largely been reached.

The collapse is on the way because of what Jesus said to John about the seven congregations in the book of Revelation. They were to correct certain weaknesses that he found on his final inspection. Only one congreagtion met his whole approval. I know for a fact that statistics can be missleading. I put in 180hr. a month average in unofficial pioneer work, but reported the required amount. To use reporting as a bases for the strength of ones faith is shakey at best. I'm more concerned about those going out the back door while the pioneers are pushing new ones through the front. Anywhere from 30,000 to 60,000 a year are, either being disfellowshipped, or falsely accused of sins not even Jesus would condem. There is an attitude much like the one Paul had when he was Saul. A paranoia that anyone proposing newlight outside the Governing Body is automatically a threat to the KIngdom. Even if Jesus were to appear on the blinding road to their Damascus, they'd call him a Demon.
Look out for the leaven of the Pharisees!

Actually the elders are in a symbolic car crash with Jesus right now as they've left the owner who bought them. They have exchanged love and mercy for readjusted rules. Watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees. Keep your chins up!

Would anyone like to disect the meaning of Apostasy? It was changed to get rid of me. So if I missed something in the translation let me know.

Yes, I do pray several times a day and yes many have been answered. I follow the pattern of King David. If the answer is yes then may such and such hppen and if the answer is no then a different such and so. God doesn't change, so if he answered David in this manner he will anser you. That is why we need faith. Heb. 13:1 Sometimes the answer is no, but often times it is more to clarify your thinking in tune with God's thinking. He loves you despite what the nay sayers declare.

The Casual Importance of JW elders
by BonaFide inso here is one thing i have noticed, and i bet i was like this before myself.. so many jw elders have a sort of "casual importance" attitude at the meetings.
they nod a lot, they have those huge bookbags, they read those society letters during the meetings, they walk down the aisles during the meeting and whisper in each others' ear, they always sit in the aisle seats.
they give the appearance that what they are doing is the most important thing in the world.. even the way they stand, and their manner of speaking reflects that they feel important, but that they are "trying" to be humble even though jehovah god himself is using them.. for example, tonight before the meeting i was talking to an elder about the upcoming assembly.

I had noticed such behavior. What is more, they frequently open their meetings in the little dreaded back room with statements of headship and "We're the stars in Jesus hand!" Another one is "We're the duly appointed authority, acting with Jehovah's Holy Spirit." Jeus bought us with his blood and he said his load was light and his yoke was kindly. When we go before elders we should expect them to act as Jesus would. He warned about taking the best seats and wearing scripture containing cases. Posturing on the corner, claiming that your righteous prayers are more important than the tax collector. Jesus must have found a use for tax collectors as he chose Matthew and favored Zacchaeus. I always hated climbing over their big elder bags at meetings and conventions, especially when I was packing babies. Postering is for peacocks!

The People Up There vs. The People Down Here
by Confession indo you ever detect a difference in the way people make evaluations of an organization, as compared to an individual?
how about a difference between the way people judge one who holds an office of some sort, compared to one who doesn't?.
it seems to me that many people have a different set of standards for, say, "the people up there" as opposed to "the people down here.".

I spent over fifty years as a JW and was hated by the elders because I did talk and yes, as an individual I did tell. I was infuriated when I attended a wedding to see a man who had been disfellowshipped for raping young brothers, mingling with the witnesses attending because he had been reinstated. He happened to be the father of the groom. I had driven a long ways to attend and had a car load of others to see to or I would have had my say and left. Now I wished I'd gone and called the police because I ended out getting thrown out anyway. Women and children are no longer safe in the organization because the "good ole boys" club has a stranglehold. Every individual must weigh their conscience on these matters. I just know that if a little child had come up to Jesus and said a Pharisee molested him, Jesus would have done something truely judisious. Stoning was still done in those days. It got rid of the problem. Today stoning is done symbolically by calling the authorities. There's the same guilded cup syndrome the Pharisees had. The outside must look clean and shiny at all cost. No one is supposed to know what is going on in the inside.

Jesus said to watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees. That leaven was hypocrisy. When those who profess truth under Jehovah's name practice hypocrisy, they are "evil slave". (Matt. 24:48-51) Jesus condemed the elders in his day for their lies and yet they served close to thirty-years more before their demise. Time is running out quickly for those today that fit the same pattern of worship. Matt. chp. 23, they put themselves in the seat of Moses. Anyone who disagrees with them is worthy of the death of Korah. It's worse if you have concrete well-researched proof. I respond to the sites that can prove what they are exposing.
