No. Set laws that protect people from ALL preditory religious organizations (it's up to religion to adhere to basic human rights). Those that don't adhere are penalized. (Hit them in the pocketbook. Its the only sensory organ 'god' has).

this discussion forum is somewhat perplexing.
it appears to criminalize a religious entity in the way that most secular humanists lament religion and feel the god devolution should be, well, eradicated from society.
what action should be taken against these people?
No. Set laws that protect people from ALL preditory religious organizations (it's up to religion to adhere to basic human rights). Those that don't adhere are penalized. (Hit them in the pocketbook. Its the only sensory organ 'god' has).

some people say "hovah' "jehoovah", etc.
or they'll say instead of jehovah's witnesses, "hovies"....etc.. do you think that it's appropriate?.
I asked....how come it's OK to call God by his name....but not adults??
Oooo.. logic. I would have gotten a spanking for that sort of 'smart alik' response.

THEIR OWN LITERATURE DOES IT BEST.
I agree. When a religion consistantly considers it's own teachings and literature from 30 years ago to be incorrect and apostate, and yet the source they claim to rely on - the bible - hasn't changed, then we can make a fair guess that whatever they are teaching NOW will be considred incorrect and apostate 30 years from now. They obviously can't accurately determine what the scriptures mean.
The JW's are incapable of producing truth. By their own admission they didn't have it in the past, and as they continue to change their teachings, they clearly don't have it now.

and it is a clear night here on the east coast of the usa.. so i took a few shots of the moon.
here is one that i liked.... .
anyone else a shutter bug?.
Here are a few I took in August and September. I do a lot of nature stuff (I hike every other day), and then just whatever I spot that looks neat when I have my camera I'll shoot.
(Gah, should have used f8 for that one above. Just took that shot today.)

Great shots, Leolaia.
I love doing low-light photography, but I'll leave the skies for someone else to explore.

Cool, nice shots. I was trying to do just just last week with my new camera. It's a tricky thing to do well.
I wonder if there are any afordable telescopes can can track - to remove the celestrial motion blurring.

are there pretenders in our brotherhood- as in all religion- that do what is evil?.
yes.. have we made stupid guesses about some of the prophecies, as all churches do?.
yes.. does our "organization" make mistakes- as, you guessed it, all do?.
I gotta HAND it to all of you; you really played me- I was thinking there was Intelligent Life on this site...
That's what happens when I give Whiners the 'benefit of the doubt'!
Wow. You sure showed us. Don't bother refute accusations, don't answer questions addressed at you, and don't bother present or back up your own arguments - Just spontaneously "decide" that the opposition is 'unintelligent' and declare yourself the victor.
That's certain to impress anyone who reads this topic. How can there be any doubt on the matter?
You truely are the master debator. Kudos, man. Well done. Well done.

Still true, Blimy Limey - they have no REAL accusations , thus ignore me.
Bullshit. Pick any random person on the street - explain to them the WT policy for handling child molestation, and count how many people say "Yes, that makes good sense. Accusers and the WT trademark should superceed the safety of children."
You can SAY there are no REAL accusations. But that is a lie. You're cognitive dissonance is only fooling YOU. Anyone who reads this thread that isn't a brainwashed JW is going to read your responses and think 'what the hell is wrong with this person?'.
I will say this: You truely have achieved the mind of your god. Right there in the 10 Commandments:
God considered protecting the accused a priority worth of the Top Ten.
Protecting easily manipulated and victimized children from abusers and molesters?
Nowhere to be found in the bible.
Nowhere does he condem pedophilia. Not in the 10 commandments, not in the list of things god 'hates'. He hates drunks, and homosexuals - but child molesters - not really worth mentioning. Invite them into your congragation! Sit them next to the young ones! Give him power and responsibility over your congragations!
Behold how wise your god is! Truely, he cares deeply for the little ones.
(And no that's not spin - that's how it really is.)

Note, my brothers, how they ignore me, now that I expose their hollow claims?
No, I just try to ignore you, friendly idiot.
Step 1: Start a thread.
Step 2: Ignore discussion points on clearly-asked questions and valid points.
Step 3: Complain that "everyone is ignoring you".
Step 4: When someone points out that you yourself are ignoring clearly asked questions, pronounce that you are ignoring that person.
Step 5: FAIL!
