More AGM News- spiritual matters (with paragraphs this time!)- disregard other epic fail post!!!!
by yknot ini always find it interesting how emails vary in perception.
two more 'snippets' have arrived and i am posting them for forum consumption (this is still technically 'spiritual food') and discussion.as with the last thread, the original author and those they emailed are not responsible!
i was like 4th/5th on the chain of these emails and none knew of my intent to reiterate the contents here in cyberspace.

Insulting those who feel defrauded
Those who whisper these 'woes' are likened to those murmurers of Israel during the Exodus from Egypt! Foolishly they wished to return to Egypt
With that point the WTS insults those who grew up in the organization, were faithful to the counsel, didn't pursue higher education but rather pioneered right out of highschool, auxiliaried during highschool and especially during Summer vacations, got a part time job only so as to do more in service, said no to getting married, said no to having a family and no to raising children so as to pioneer, gave hours upon hours of service time, placing publications that within a few years contained "old light," gave their best during the "strenght of youth" for the benefit and growth of the Society's organization... in other words, people like me.
I feel insulted, mostly for the disregard of all the work I've devoted to an uncaring and unappreciative organization which calls me foolish for "wishing to return to Egypt" and for "murmuring." Well, I was never in Egypt, neither the allegorically referenced place nor the real country in the Middle East by that name.
I was never in Egypt. I was always in the "Shadow of the mighty crag (butt crack)" of the Society's organization, and now feel "shat" on.
These insulting men take away my years of service, nullifying the sacrifice it took to accomplish pioneering at a young age, and my continued effort and faithfulness through hard times. These men are unappreciative bullies who want you to do for them. Uncaring task-masters who lash out with tongue and pen to scourge those who feeling downtrodden and exhausted now cry out, no, not really cry out but rather dare whimper a murmur of discontent towards coercion and manipulations that this selfish Society uses to obtain compliance and obedience at all costs from the subjugated and oppressed masses that fell into their snare and believed the lie of life in an Eartly Paradise, a paradisaical neverland, a dream that never materialized as promised, "before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away."
Insulting and ungrateful men! Living lives of luxury at the expense of the poor fools they've tyrannized.

Clear Emotional Blackmail!
Example: An adult child who lives outside of the household is DFd? While the term ‘Necessary family business’ is a term familiar with those in this circumstance; the GB wants to stress there is no need to push this to the extreme! ….Basically to shorten the example and to get to the heart of the matter….. there must be incentive for the DFd person to want to return. Parents are encouraged to give a little but to leave the DFd child desiring for more while promoting their actions as motivate by their love for Jah. The end result is hope that the DFd child in wanting full access to the abundant love of his parents willl also begin to see his losses in not having a relationship with Jehovah and seek reinstatement.
This example given is nothing but plain blackmail, emotional blackmail. "Parents are encouraged to give a little but to leave the DF'd child desiring for more while promoting their actions as motivated by their love for Jah." It seems wicked and evil to manipulate one's offspring like that, to withhold love from your child and make it seem as if motivated by love for God. How very un-Christian and wicked!
The emotional blackmail is so clear and so very "brazen." Whoever thought of this scheme in such terms is just a plain bully and manipulator with peoples emotions. It pushes the boundaries of human compassion and love for others and then it says that "there's no need to push..." 'Necessary family business' "to the extreme!"
What about the WTS pushing their "Family Business" as in a coercive manipulative crime mob, a spiritual mafioso organization and emotional blackhole, being pushed beyond the limits of decency.

Debator, what a bunch of crap! You don't know what you're talking about, read the book with an open mind... Oh, that's right, you're still brainwashed by the WT cult...
Ray Franz told it like he saw it and lived through it, and it all rang true for me when I read the book (well actually both of them I downloaded them from commentarypress.com in PDF format too).
I'm very thankful that brave people like Ray Franz, and Ed Dunlap, and also several Spanish couples from that time at Bethel had the courage to speak up about what was happening there and the hypocrisy of people who claim to be God's only Channel on Earth.

Got a letter inviting me to my Judicial hearing- should I go?
by hoggieman inhey everyone, my family and i have not gone to meeting in over a year.
rumors have swirled about us, but i have always dodged the elders calls and never said anything about my feelings.
so after a while the calls/visits dwindled, but in october they came by again and saw our halloween decorations.

my father was immense and chosen as a bodyguard to both judge (spurious title) and nathan knorr.
bethel was very small then so he knew fred franz, covington, henshel well.

I'd be interested in the experiences of others. Clearly, being raised a JW during your developmental years must make it harder.
You said it Janice, and please understand that with a new poster claiming to have gone to expensive name institutions of higher Ed. who can't spell simple words all sorts of flags went up in my mind.
It's not what you said so much as what or who you claimed to be as opposed to the way you came across in your writing.
But nobody's perfect. And yes, I agree with you that it's hard for a young witness going through early development, especially teens. It was for me and I know others who grew up with me in the same KHs that had a hard time with all the restrictions and the extra duties imposed on publishers to pioneer and to always be doing more for the "Organization".

In what university/college did you learn about "Blind oblegiance" as you call it, never heard that term before.
And... as you say "The concept of a Trinity is an extrapolition" that word is unknown to me, as is the Trinity doctrine.

and so, just as the members of jwd and the internet have written, so it shall be done by the governing body overlords.

Now why would the WTS publish 2 pages of information in their brand new elders book that reinforces the standing procedure (page 50, paragraph 12) that states an inactive person should be assigned to a service group (change in terminology from book study group) only to scrap it before many elders have even seen the book or been through the KM school? It just doesn't make sense.
DoubtingBro, I heard it with my own ears, this new CO named Scott Henry said it plainly that if a person is inactive despite attempts by the BoE to reactivate him/her, then that person's name is deleted from the list of publishers in the Service Group. Plain as could be.
This has already been put into practice after this CO's visit in this circuit in New England where I'm at now. Quite a few names have disappeared from the list posted on the information board.
This list will now serve as a reference for JWs not only of who is an "active publisher" but also of who is "good association" and who isn't.
