  Apostates and the Holy Spirit

  i've heard elders say more than once that if the congregation isn't productive, there is probably an apostate in the midst; since the holy spirit doesn't seem to be upon the congregation.

  anyone ever hear similar claims before?.

  yes, i do!

  i did it 20 years ago, but the elders still remember what i did, sometimes i wish they never knew about it.

  I wish the lack of care or fear I have now I'd had back then - mind control making you feel compelled to confess things that are no ones business and not even 'wrong'

  Health - has anyone else suffered long lasting health effects from years with the Borg?

  does anyone else feel or know that jehovah's witnesses damaged their health?.

  i know many have emerged with depression, and i'm very relieved that i am not one of them.. but, being the age i am, (a large tribe of grandchildren) i was nonetheless pressured to go out door to door in steep countryside often in bad weather, and because i was doing my best to keep up that ended in an injury which has proved to be long lasting.. and that's not counting the stress-induced consequences...i won't cite them all here, but physical.

  a few days in hospital and a summer spent on compulsory almost complete rest can all be laid at the watchtower's door.the trauma of actually extricating oneself from the borg is not stopped when one has finally written that letter that disassociates oneself from them.

  I've never met such a bunch of depressed ppeople:

  i saw a psychologist on exiting

  no health Issues aside from that - the depression was more when I was in than out. I think when you leave it's hard to socialise normally - I found that I lacked social skills - still think I do to a degree

  my removed thread about the artwork is still coming up in google, as removed, the organisers arent to happy with the afilliation, i wondered if you could look over the posts and remove references to the name if they dont end up deleted altogether, thanks x.

  Is regularly texting/phoning someone (not your partner) cheating?

  hello - can i ask you all for your opinions?.

  if your partner (husband/wife, gf/bf etc) was phoning and texting someone approx 20 times per day,would you find it unacceptable?

  for example, if your wife was texting/phoning another brother (also married) 20 to 30 times a day, would you get suspicious?

  its completely unnaceptable if your partner is unhappy with it, but it also depends on the nature of it. ive chatted to people on skype and msn regulary who may be married but the topic of conversation is not in anyway intentional to get in there with that person.

  I might add its my first day back at teacher training for a differnt age than previously. ive been home for my kids since the divorce, but now James is 12 I wont get any more handouts. Im glad I can earn a decent wage myself thank goodness.
