probably not advisable for them to be on FB in the first place. but people do what they want at the end of the day. even JWs

Worldly friends on Facebook
by dgp insome people i know to be jw's have worldly friends as facebook friends.
i apologize for my ignorance, but, isn't this supposed to be socializing with worldlies?
if so, it seems many jw's are simply ignoring what the wts says.

My ex husband makes me feel bad:(
by Newborn infor leaving him (1.5 y ago) and for being a person he doesn't recognize anymore for leaving the org.. he still has feelings for me and still grieves every day that we're not together...i know it shouldn't get to me but it does...i had no choice but to leave him...i was so miserable for so many reasons but when i hear how sad he is it makes me sad.
(we have to have some contact coz of the apartment we lived in, unfortunately).
i just wish he could move on but he says he can't even look at another woman.. also, of course, he had to say that jehovah still loves me and that the end is sooooooooo near, just look at haiti!.

When did Disfellowshipping start?
by God_Delusion inhello guy's & gal's,.
do we know what year disfellowshipping started?
also, for a bonus point, do we know who the first person to get disfellowshipped was?.

if you decide to leave the org and not claim to be a part of it thereby not causing any disrepute to the cong, then why shouldnt family relationships be allowed to continue? who is causing harm? for me an act that can cause clear psychological damage is not a sign of a loving organisation.

Disfellowshipping, what else can they do in a case like this one? .....
by HappyGuy inokay, the disfellowshipping doctrine is inhumane, usually.
but, i remember a "brother" in jacksonville, florida, can't remember his name, i was 17 at the time, i think he was 18. this scumbag claimed to be a jehovah's witness.
we went to the same school.

just because a person isnt disfellowshipped doesnt mean that people have to mix with him. - i do know what you mean about the shunning, but the point is disfellowsipping takes away our personal freedom, - there is no free will witnesses are drones who arent givenenough credit to judge whats right and wrong on their own merits. - most 'worldly' people would keep away from a scum like that.

hahah I am very changeable. I love that film 'the holiday' where kate winslet goes away to get over an ex that doesnt want to be with her but still seems to need her and wont leave her alone to get on with her life even though hes happily moving on with his... its kind of like that! Im not brill at solitude. I like to have someone with me so I can share my thoughts lol.

Is it time to move on from this board?
by John Doe ini spend too much time here goofing off when i should be working.
i no longer read doctrine threads or much of anything in the way of jw issues.
anyone else with similar thoughts?.

if I have time to browse here I will. - its always a nice feeling. like I'm among friends. - sometimes life keeps you from forums and thats fine too. - theres no need to leave if you can manage to visit without the detriment of other things x

Over half the world population have never heard of Jehovah's Witnesses
by alanv injust looked through some of the largest populations in the world and ten of them add up to 3,500,000,000. how many witnesses serve these 10 countries.
no more than 60,000. the largest are china and india which together have around 2.5 billion people.
so is the jw good news being spread earthwide.

The WTS will never have ''new light'' on shunning policy.
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwatchtower society will never be blessed with "new light" on their policy of extremist shunning of former members, thereby liberating thousands-both within and out of the organization from the heart-sickening anguish imposed by this cruel, unjust, and unscriptural dogma..
