without a doubt i could not forgive anyone who harmed my child.
anything else is negotiable.
some of us might be naturally forgiving types.
others may not be so easy.
i've seen families extend forgiveness to persons who have killed one of their family.
without a doubt i could not forgive anyone who harmed my child.
anything else is negotiable.
this is not just a curiosity question.
this a real-life scenario... unfortunately mine.
i have not pulled a brownboy thing, but i used to be on as outbutnotdown (lost password and was registered on expired email account).
i had a garage sale last spring and put out stuff i ddint use but that attracted people like cd's i didn't listen to anymore, VHS tapes since i got a DVD player, toys, quilts etc. then i got some of those neon stickers and put them on everything and made some huge signs out of neon posterboard and offered incentives like "buy one CD get one FREE", etc. i set up a little TV so they could watch the tapes while they shopped, and had a radio out there so they could try out the CDs before they bought them. and that day i made $250. tax-free. people will buy anything, even old lawn tools and flower pots, and anyway, they like to think they're getting something for nothing...anyway just a suggestion. good luck.
did you like them?
hate them?
fear them?
Incense, I don't think you can do that.
rats. thanks, though.
my brother has *gasp* a worldy girlfriend.
he has a job, they both work there, met there, and now they are in love.
i think they have been together only a couple weeks.
i couldn?t say no to a relative who needed help, so i would let them stay but with some very clear stipulations, specifying how long they can stay and how much money they will give you, and when (like every Friday, for example). put everything down on paper too. doing that will "officialize" everything a bit and subtly reinforce that they can't stay indefinitely and not for free. and stock up on for those moments when you need to relax ...
.
ok, they have lots of "witnessy" sayings.
but the best is the words they keep making up.. mine is "super-fine apostles" (from an awake a few months ago).
omg
Yeah, especially those who mispronounced it as "fleshy" as in "my fleshy sister is coming down for the weekend". I always imagined someone with abundant rolls of fat waddling in.
lol

someone saying don't get too friendly with so-and-so, because they are "spiritually weak", and in the same breath gush over the talk about how "only Jehovah can read someone's heart".
"agape" isn't a made-up word, but i always thought it sounded pretentious and empty. why not just use "love", for chrissakes?
the jws have an aversion to the cross but a love for the watchtower symbol.
is one a graven image, but not the other?
check the following watchtower paraphernalia offered for sale by a jw owned business.. http://www.westcoastclips.com/store/templates/basic/productindex.asp
well, according to this document i found, idolatry includes the "possession and use of images and pictures that are employed in false religion".
---(can you say "Jehovahese"?)

if you post a link to the actual, entire "Kingdom Ministry School Textbook", is that copyright infringement? it says "No copies are to be made of any part of this publication.", but it doesn't say anything about posting a link to it. i just happened to stumble across it in my travels...

i think the question speaks for itself?
while there is much we don't believe, there are some things we can't ignore.
anyone agree???
nope.
there are some things we can't ignore.
yes there are.
