i don't get close to anyone. i like it that way... p.s. and no, i'm not lonely.
"and a rock feels no pain. and an island never cries..."
seeitall and fbf i appreciate your responses .
i realize now this is not a place i feel comfortable any longer discussing things this close to my heart.
i'll stick to the fluff and inane

it should be most interesting.
1 out of 3 in my actual congregation has a heavy drinking problem.
i'd say that's the 'sin' that is way, way overlooked by the wtbts.
Alcohol abuse is a problem in society in general. I don?t think it is any worse in the congregations of JWs then anywhere else but it is just as bad.
hmm... i don't know anyone who drinks excessively. but my sister, her husband, their friends: a couple with two sons who all drink, friends of theirs (a single sister living with her mother), her best friend and her best friend's boyfriend, all drink heavily. every day. i might have a Corona with lime once a month and only drink 1/2 of it...i got the impression they were all alcoholics. gotta keep those lil sheep sedated, yanno...
yoga?just an exercise or something more?
can yoga be practiced without any religious overtones?
is yoga suitable for christians?
Given the Society's track record of being an over protective mother we can pretty much understand the paranoia over something that might free people from their control.
i thought the same thing.
Did you sense the jealousy,,in the whole essay.
uh-huh. i aslo luv all their buzz-words and phrases: "phallic" "hippies" "detestable" "fashioned after this system of things" "rooted in false religion", etc.
better be careful, you might get "demonized": To a Hindu, yoga is a technique or a discipline that leads to union with a great supernatural force or spirit. It has been described as "the yoking of all the powers of body, mind and soul to God."
then there's this little gem - "think before you ink". this young woman clearly has the mark of Satan on her...
.
the buzz is that this is the scariest movie to come out in a long time.... http://www.whitenoisemovie.com.
i'll go see it tomorrow night, then write a sizzling review.
My first vibe was that it sounded like all the hype surrounding the Blair Witch Project
The Blair Witch Project was one film where the hype was way better than the movie. i felt ripped off half-way through...
hey all, i just took some "after" pictures today and need to share with my friends.
as some of you know, i lost a bit of weight recently.
(by eating less, eating better and exersizing - it actually works sometimes!)..
JWBot, you look sooo fetch! Very cute and hot. Well done!

when i talked to my mother yesterday, everytime she would try to defend the watchtower organization, she would say, and jehovah says..." i would respond, "noooo.
the watchtower organization says that.
show me the scripture in the bible that says, "jehovah says" right now".
oh, and to answer your question: What Are Things "Jehovah" Says That Really The "WT. Organization" Says???
everything.

I am SHOCKED and OUTRAGED with what I have seen on this site! You who were once brothers in the faith now turned apostate! Jehovah word has come true "THE DOGS RETURN TO THEIR OWN VOMIT..." WOE to you because your judgement will be very great!
and why are you here? would you like your vomit to go, or will you be enjoying it here?
.
i read an article somewhere when i first started studying with the jw's that said that the name jehovah was actually just a hypothesis from a monk in the year 700 or some other thing.. i don't remember if this is correct in the year or where i read it - i read so many things when i first learned what the witnesses were really about.
everything i could get my hands on.. but for some reason i don't know why but calling god jehovah just really bugs me and always makes me think of the witnesses.. does it bother anybody else and do you think if he exists his name really is jehovah?
I believe Jehovah is false transliteration of YHWH
i always liked "YWHW"... to me it sounded more mystical. (hehe "Joey Joe Joe Junior Shabadoo")
from what i can see, it's the "lack of love" that gets people to realize the witnesses don't have the "truth" after all!
Hypocrisy. That would be my primary reason.
i second that wholeheartedly! when i discovered they were just as hypocritical as "false religion", i didn't want any part if it.
