PS-Incense: I have what you posted up on my fridge---it was given to me at a support group for handicapped kids. I always love it.
i don't have it on my fridge, but it's oe of my favorites. so are you.
we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.
so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.
and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.

those attacks do not address the issues, and they don't fool anyone here.
they are, however, quite useful for fooling oneself...

Did you know that children who are taught to lovingly obey will have all those attributes?
suuuuure they will... (said in leprechaun's voice)
periodically, we post about what we realize were good fables that were spoken as "gospel".
smurfs running up and down the aisles of the hall is a well known one......any you remember???

I too heard about demonized objects not burning. Also heard about a woman that had found a book in her home awhile after she had been studying she forgot to throw away. It was on the occult. It was late at night so she put it on her front porch and was going to walk it out to the garbage in the morning. Apparently she heard noises in the night outside her window and no one was there. When she woke up in the morning the book was laying on the kitchen table. She of course tried to burn it and it wouldn't burn. Not sure how she finally got rid of this indestructable object.
good grief. my sister called me one day and asked me to come get a book out of the trash for her. she found her daughter reading it and threw it away. her daughter fished it out of the trash, so my sister got the brilliant idea to throw it in the Weber and try to burn it. but it wouldn't burn so she thought the book was demonized. so she called me to come get it and "i could have it if i wanted". lmfao! hmm, not good enough to be invited to her "anniversary party", but good enough to come over and fish out a demonized book... the book was "The Bell Jar", by Sylvia Plath, one of my favorite authors. i felt a little like one of the Ghost Busters driving over there, but the fact is i saved a book from a heinous death. i think it is a sin to burn books, except JW materials, of course -- i would happily take a torch to those!
don't really know how i feel about that one.
my brother is in the truth because of what i "taught" him as well as my "example" according to others and him (he doesn't know my official stand yet).
an earlier post opened my eyes a little...i know now i didn't do it alone, and that i was trained to bring in others (one thing that i must say the training really helped me in my career as a sales director, ironically enough).. i was just wondering how other people view this.
i never brought anyone in, thank god. i do feel kinda funny about taking my son to the KH that time, but he got a good laff out of it and saw everything with his own eyes and formed his own conclusions about the witnesses without my having to say a single word...

children shouldn't be taught to "obey". they are not puppies, they are people.
If A Child...
- If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
- If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
- If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
- If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
- If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
- If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.
- If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.
- If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
- If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
- If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
- If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.
don't scroll down..... .

hehe Leolaia, cute. you just know the minute someone tells us "apostates" not to do something, we're gonna go right ahead and do it
my son loved that book when he was little. in fact, "Grover" was one of the first words he ever read. there's a street called Grovers and i was driving him to daycare and he said "Grovers" when we were stopped at the light. i thought, ok, he's remembering...thinking he couldn't possibly be reading yet. he was only 18 months old. that afternoon, i picked him up and took out his books and sure enough, he was reading. then i wrote simple words on paper to see if he wasn't just remembering what he read, and he read those too. the next day, miss tammy from the toddler room called me at work and i thought something was wrong, but she said oh no i just called to tell you he was reading! she said the hair on the back of her neck stood up. anyway, i saved every one of his baby books, and it's fun to look at them sometimes, and even better sharing them with him
guess what ??

By all means ... give the study a chance! Don't expect it to do any good if you are still posting here behind your parents backs. If you are so sure of the 'help' you are getting here, show your posts to your parents or an elder.
you know exactly what will happen if he shows his posts to his parents. they will remove the computer from the house and be all over him 24/7 like a duck on a june bug. so he's a minor... but he is also a thinking person seeking answers, and he deserves them. us sharing our experiences isn't going to poison him against his parents. p.s. if his parents were here i would tell them exactly how i felt, by the way...
