why didn't they approach me?

this past saturday morning, i was walking through downtown guelph ontario when i saw 3 ppl standing on corners of an intersection with what i instantly recognized to be watchtowers in their hands.

while i was at an atm, i watched them approach various strangers and i started to get excited, thinking about what i would say to them when approached.

(1 middle aged woman 1 teenage girl and 1 man - interestingly, i first doubted the man was a dub because he had no jacket, blue shirt, orange tie, and had a cell phone attached to his belt - i cant imagine ever being allowed in service with a visible cellphone.).

It was the holy spirit protecting them from your evil apostasy IMO. The angels guided them away from you to protect their clean, undefiled hearts.

....district conventions?.

i know that the jews went to jerusalem and had a couple of celebrations where they gathered in large numbers during the year but did the early christians do anything like that?

i'm a bit confused as to what the precedent for district conventions or assemblies are.. thanks for any info,.

I agree with mindmelda - assemblies and conventions are basically big ol' mating, dating, and chaste courtship roundups. It's the time when all the brothers get to stuff a sock in the front of their pants and fantasize about maybe one day getting to see the nude kneecap of a sister. It's the time when all the sisters leave wet spots in their seats as they dream about a spiritual man holding their hand in service and conducting a good family study night.

Do you wish SUFFERING on some human beings? Should you?

with the recent illness of a gb member who has hurt many people, some have commented that they would like to have him suffer, various ways have been mentioned including having his mind fine, but his body suffering.. we all here have a hatred for child molesters, abusers, those who make others suffer.. and there are many examples in history as well.

hitler, josef mengele, john wayne gacy, and many others.. is it right to want them to suffer for what they have done?

should they be made to undergo the exact same suffering they inflicted on others?.

Out of all the people I've ever met and known in my life I can honestly say that there are 4 of them that I honestly hope experience painful suffering and die an agonizing death. Actually, one of them is already dead from cancer, which doesn't bother me at all. Hopefully the other 3 will get what they deserve - 1 of which is someone in my own family that used the stupid "2 witnesses" rule to get away with years of sexual child abuse. People like these 4 almost make me wish hell was real.

My top 10 are as follows:

1 - Catch up on all the Smurfs cartoons I missed out on as a child

2 - Booty calls

3 - I can participate in evil "self abuse" without fear of God killing me if I'm bursting at the seams and #2 isn't available

4 - Watch non G-rated movies

5 - Allow the facial hair that God installed on my face to grow without fear

6 - Skip wearing underpants when I am forced to wear a suit

7 - Celebrate a birthday without worrying about a prophet or party guest getting beheaded

8 - No more "privilege" of KH bathroom cleaning - honestly brothers, how hard is it to miss the urinal? You're standing right in front of the damn thing...

9 - Saturday mornings spent sleeping, mowing the lawn, and/or having breakfast beer rather than hocking Awake magazines about "The Glory of the Dung Beetle"

10 - No more fear of death
