Steve Pavlina is a pretty weird dude, and I don't care for much of his ideas. That being said, this is one of the best posts I've ever read from his site.

Why's everybody getting divorced????!
by homeschool inthis is insanity!
literally four couples that i know closely & personally have told me in the last two weeks that they are divorcing their spouses.
and there are a couple on here whom i've discovered are separating as well (these two i do not know personally, but i'm a little surprised & saddened regardless).

Lots of JW and ex-JW divorces because marriages made while under the influence of the JW are usually built on a poor foundation. How can you really get to know someone if you only ever hang out with them in large group settings before getting married?

Yep, have had these thoughts many times, and even acted upon them while under the influence but was too jacked up to succeed in doing much but giving myself large, ugly scars that I'll have for life now. This is how happy I was to have "the Truth" in my life.

JW in Iran
by Albert Einstein inlast year we were visiting armenia and iran (my family and another jw family).
talking to jw in armenia, we were told there are jw in iran and we got contact to one family in teheran.
to our surprise we really were able to get in touch with them when we arrived in teheran.

Name of this site
by Newborn inshouldn't this site really be called "ex jw" instead or something like that??
(in my country the eqivalent site is called "the support source").. isn't the name a bit misleading since most of us aren't jws anymore and doesn't want anything to do with them?.
just my thought.

There's hardly any good domains left at this late stage of the internet game. They did well enough to get the domain that they did for this website, and this website is all about JW's, so I don't see what the problem is.

India and China combined make up just shy of 1/3 of the entire population of this planet, yet the number of Witnesses in both of these countries is virtually non-existant. If the end ain't gonna come until the entire world has been given a thorough witness, then we're gonna be waiting here a loooong time.

JWs can become anointed at any time??
by lavendar insomeone in a previous thread stated this regarding the "new light" on the 1914 teaching:.
people can still become anointed at any time.. .
i'm curious (as usual).........how do these jws know they're anointed?

I personally knew a brother who was DF'd for years due to being involved in the spirit realm, then got re-instated, and 1 year later decided that he was anointed. He now partakes annually and is accepted as being of the anointed although only in his late 30's.
