  watchtower has said that jesus is not the mediator of anyone but for the anointed.

  then they tell you that they are jehovah's organization and that the flock should obey them.. basically, the watchtower corp. and it's governing body is taking the place of jesus as the mediator for people.

  christianity, even by it's name, focuses on making jesus known.

  An increase in security at this summer's conventions??

  we've heard from friends in two separate congregations in our city that convention security will be tight.. the brothers made announcements this week and reminded everyone to be sure to wear their name badges.

  those that don't may be questioned and have their belongings searched.

  the same will be happen to anyone arriving during the sessions.

  this is how a do explained the family business policy re relatives of df/da members.. he said that the expression, "necessary family business," is really not a scriptural term.

  it is nowhere found in the bible.

  but, out of the kindness of the gb's hearts, they have gone beyond what is written and allowed association among families for necessary business.

  The end time prophecies in the bible indicate that true Christians would be isolated from their congregations.

  The quote from the Awake Magazine above indicates their complete ignorance of this.

  Consider how Jesus Christ describes the celebration of the Lords Evening Meal (Memorial) during the "Lords Day" while addressing ALL the congregations:

  Revelation 3:19-22

  　"‘All those for whom I have affection I reprove and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20　Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his[house] and take the evening meal with him and he with me. 21　To the one that conquers I will grant to sit down with me on my throne, even as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22　Let the one who has an ear hear what the spirit says to the congregations.’"

  So does that sound like a "gathering together" of all the people in the congregations to celebrate the Memorial?

  or

  Does it sound like specific individuals being isolated out of all those congregations?

  Listen carefully to what Jesus Christ is saying to the congregations above!

  What do I make of it?

  The WTBTS is misleading 8 million people!

  matthew 1:1 is called "the book of the generation" - everything in matthew refers to this same generation.. similar terminology can be seen in genesis 5:1 " this is the book of the generations of adam.

  when god created man, he made him in the likeness of god.

  " all of the descendants mentioned in genesis 5 cover a time period of 1656 years.. another example of this type of generation, reference can be seen in genesis 37 "v.2 these are the generations of jacob.".

  Yes, the generation that Jesus Christ is talking about are all those people who live during the time that Jesus Christs promises are extended.

  The previous generation were not aware of the value that Jesus Christs crucifiction and resurrection had.

  This generation is aware of these promises!

  Eventually this generation will come to an end and those promises will be realized.

  A new generation will then start.

  This present generation is however, referred to by Jesus Christ as wicked.

  The extraordinary promises extended to this wicked generation are being treated with indifference and most often with contempt.

  The next generation will be something truly spectacular for those few who endured through the indifference and contempt of this wicked generation.

  I think that a Nations Government has an obligation to protect its society.

  That would include making certain that wholesome family units have a place to live and thrive.

  The WTBTS has a proven track record of completely shattering hundreds of thousands of once wholesome family units, so yes, to protect society the WTBTS should be banned.

  For proof just google this: "family destroyed by Jehovah's Witnesses":

  About 600,000 results (0.38 seconds) and thats a google search in the English Language only!

  The biggest difference in the Jehovah's Witnesses "good news" is the newly re-invented baptism where a vow to; "God's Spirit Directed Organization" is now a requirement for salvation.

  The entire baptismal arrangement, including this public expression of faith, is essential for salvation.

  That is perversely different to what Jesus Christ and his Apostles taught!

  The "organization" is a number of brothers appointed to work on six world wide committees along with the Governing Body.

  So the Jehovah's Witness "good news" is that a person can be saved, if they now include a vow to these reprehensible men!

  Notice the correlation through scripture of "Those who do not know God".

  John 16:1-4

  "I have spoken these things to YOU that YOU may not be stumbled. 2 　Men will expel YOU from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone that kills YOU will imagine he has rendered a sacred service to God. 3 　But they will do these things because they have not come to know either the Father or me. 4 　Nevertheless, I have spoken these things to YOU that, when the hour for them arrives, YOU may remember I told them to YOU.

  Are those who do not know God the ones being disfellowshipped?

  Are they the ones doing the disfellowshipping?

  BTW, the five English words; "expel YOU from the synagogue" are being used to translate one Greek word which, simply means excommunicated.

  Seraphim - I don't agree that God "Made" Darkness,Evil or Death.

  You should try knowing the Bible. Isaiah 45:7: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

  The discussion is only in danger of dying because the unbelievers won't like the answer to the question they asked.

  Not quite, we reject the unsubstantiated, incorrect, untestable and contradictory myths and woo presented as if they were answers.
