[@allelsefails: So when Isaiah 9:6 calls the Messiah the ETERNAL Father, Isaiah was just kind of joking around about that, right?] Jesus "Will be Called" talking about AFTER his birth, life and ressurection. I thought this was an obvious Prophecy about a FUTURE event - did I miss something?

[Or how about Heb 13:8: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever." Sounds pretty eternal to me. How about Heb 7:3: "In being fatherless, motherless, without genealogy, having neither a beginning of days nor an end of life, but having been made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually."]

He is - Eternal - without END - no problem / Heb 13:8 - OK no disgreement from me. / Heb 7:3 - Um... this is about Melchizadek - was he co-eternal with the Father? I missed that one.

You quote ancient Catholic denounciations of Arius, but you yourself are a heretic to the same Catholics.

SCRIPTURALLY = Refute my idea. PLEASE (I would love to be proved wrong.) Jesus is the SON of GOD. Equal to him in Power and Nature. He was appointed by God to a Superior position (after his ressurrection) and GIVEN the name above all other names (By God). This "promotion" allows him to fill many of the roles that ONLY Jehovah had before this time. (Savior/Lord).

I believe Yeshua, (the SON, Jesus, the Christ) was the firstborn of God, (the Father, Jehovah, the creator) a created being EQUAL in power to the Father. (Just as any adult Human son is.) Jesus has been "appointed" over us. He can hear prayers, lead God's people, Judge the wicked, and execute judgment on this world.

Please only answer with a scripture. Apologists and Councils are not interesting to me. They are as silly as the Governing Body and have the same authority from God. (0)

I hate how JWs always put others on the defensive. If you are to be treated like an apostate then act like one. tell anyone who contacts you... "I just have doubts, I'll come back if you can show me (from a non-JW source) how Jerusalem was destroyed in 607 instead of 586 BC. NO ONE in the JWs can even try to explain that in a way that makes sense. It doesn't make your loss go away, but it can make you feel a little better to affirm that their beliefs are silly and a few will even concede the fact. Maybe you can even unconvert some people?

"In the Beginning" means the beginning of creation - the Christ - the only begotten Son of God - There is no such thing as "In the Beginning" when it comes to God the Father. I agree that a Son of God is equal in every way except for Eternity and Position to God. I feel it makes NO sense to call someone YOUR SON and then say you are the same age. I do not believe GOD is so clumsy and ignorant of humans to think we could understand it differently. Therefore I believe every word the bible says - that Jesus was GIVEN a name above all others upon his resurrection. Therefore he NOW is to be worshipped. He now can fill roles reserved for Jehovah in the old testament. None of these ideas are contradictory to a created, but equal in power SON OF GOD.

My fathers day -as a father

i am a very fortunate father.

5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.. this is the personal note written inside the card from my youngest daughter, who just became a mother last july.. "things i love about you, dad.... i love that you always make me laugh and you're never too grown up to be silly.... i love that you never talked down to me and always made me feel smart.... most of all, i love that i get tp share you with my daughter and watch you make her giggle like you always did with me.. i love you, dad.. ---".

forgive me this indulgence but i am a little emotional this eveing after talking to all my adult children today..

I got my first Father's day present yesterday. From my Mother-in-law. She eralized what I did for my kids (step-kids) and thought In should have something. For some reason my JW kids won't celebrate Father's Day. There is nothing Pagan about it and nothing in our literature that even suggests it might be wrong, but WTF......

It was adifferent post, but basically - Father and son are equal in power (omnipotent). However Father = lifegiver. Therefore the Father created the Son to be his SON. That is every bit his nature, but not the SAME in eternity or position.I have a son who is 4" taller than me and whoop my a$$, but I am still the Father. He respects my position. We are the same nature (DNA) but we are not he same person. My father and I are the same nature but he was born in 1940 I was born..... much later, but we are still Father/Son the Same Nature - just as Yaweh and Yeshua.

As an example of the relationship - A king that has a son who is well qualified to be king. You appoint him to be Co-ruler. You trust him implicitly. NEVER is a Father/Son relationship interpreted as you are the SAME person. The Father is Lifegiver to the Son that is the Only the relationship can be interpreted. Anything else is silly.

Godrulz. - I am neither ignorant of church dogma or history - I just think it is ridiculous. The fact that the "Bible" is a more recent invention than you will admit shows your ignorancw of history. I believe EVERYTHING in your Church History and Dogma is as stupid as the Russell/Rutherford/Knorr silliness of the JWs. You are a Blasphemous heretic by the same criteria that ARIUS was. I believe what Jesus said about his nature. Not you say about it.

Again - Please show me one scripture that disagrees with my view of Father and Son.......

That would be the scriptures that were put together for the first time by ....... (wait for it) ..... Trinitarians in 397AD. No list of books of the Bible as we use them today existed before that. Marcion taught us that you can make the Bible say whatever you want when you get to pick the books and the version of the books with whatever changed language and redacted phrases you want. The history of traditional Church teaching is a history of arrogance and stomping anyone with different views. (Gnostics, Arians, Montanists, etc...) The Church that WON is no more authentic than Mike Tyson.
