Why do they think Daniel’s “seven times” prophecy has a fulfillment beyond Nebuchadnezzer’s seven years of insanity? I can find no evidence of this in scripture. It seems to me to be a miraculous prophecy that took place exactly as Jehovah prophesied thru Daniel.

I think you said it all! You know the people are always wanting to read more into Nebuchadnezzer seven years of insanity; he ate grass, went crazy, was forgiven by God, then gained his kingship back! God forgave him! What more do they want! Make something more of the seven times!

Perhaps they need to spend the Cabala! to see what the numbers means this time!

...I Don`t Believe That!!...

1975 was getting close......1975 was the topic of the day,for any jw during that time......our vancouver bc assembly was in full swing.......pretty jw girls wandered the area looking for cute guys like me!..lol!!

......my best friends annointed,apostate dad,was outside the assembly with a bullhorn..telling everyone about wbt$ lies..we all thought he was crazy,we were right!..lol!

!........................jw assemblys in those days,were huge events..nothing like today..local media always showed up.................it was the 2nd day of the assembly..the 2nd day had ended..we went home and turned the tv,to the new`s..............the local tv station was covering our assembly..the announcer said jw`s believed armageddon would be here by 1975......right at that moment,i knew i did`nt believe that.....i was supposed to believe it,but i did`nt..................have you ever had a similar experience,with any jehovah`s witness beliefs?.....................................outlaw.

Hey I was at that assembly, yeap that is what happened! So your father was the crazy guy with the horn in one hand and the WT in his other hand! Yeap! I was at that assembly! I remember the newpapers reports the next day.

As far as doctrines, This generation will no means pass away until the end will come. I asked the PO how did he know it was this generation?

How about Daniel 7:25: 1919 WTBTS was taken inot captivity! That is a good one to look up in newspapers! See what happen in Canada so that the WTBTS was taken into captivity!

I wonder if Mad Mary1 thinks that the holy ones in Daniel 7:18 are the 144,000 instead of the entire body of JW. Compared to King James where it is the saints and and the church.

in this public edition of the watchtower it uses an illustration of a piece of furniture to help explain why jehovah tolerated polygamy.. but the more interesting point i thought was the reasoning in the first paragraph in the second column about jehovah warning his people when they strayed from his standards.

it says "however, he knew in advance that his people would often fail to obey even the most basic of commands, such as the one against idolatry.

(exodus 32:9).

So if a Jehovah Witness person who sufferred from natural or man made disasters and in other times needs would have the right to SUE the crap out of the Corporation under the obligation set forth in the Charter to provide humanitary assistance!

A breach of promise would be broken if they did not fullfill their obligation with a person known as a Jehovahs Witness.

Yeah spread the word and start your law suits! Now a large class action can be done. Wow this could be their down fall.

her phone was off the hook for the entire day and i got worried that maybe she fell or something.

i've been reading for a little while, but really "studying" for a couple of years.

figure i could share my story and listen to what you guys have to say.

i was "born" into jws in 1976. my mother was baptized in 1975.. ouch.

I finally started studying the "bible". When I did I realized first the lie about 607 BCE then 1914 then 1919 selection of FDS, 144,000, great crowd, etc..... Now I don't believe any religion has absolute truth, and I'm offended by the "faithful slave" concept. I'm not sure I even believe in the New Tesatament at all. But I do still believe in God as revealed to Moses. Crazy right

Welcome! You are on the right track! It is a shock to wake up and realize concepts you were taught were nothing more than a bunch of lies! It causes physical as well a mental anguish. I remember when I first started realizing false teaching of the WT, I was a passenger with another exJW and we both found out together about some doctrines that were not biblical. I was so shocked my throat became tight and I wanted to cry and I almost fainted. Some of the false doctrines were so funny yet shocking at the same time such as pyramidology. I thought the people online were liars until I started to read the books for myself and found out that they were kind considering how many lies they had told! It was so unreal and I was beside myself. Not too mention the older person I was with almost had a heart attack while driving the car. How could Jehovah organization have a sun disk on the front of the Finished Mystery Book! and declare God's name at the same time. I thought ,no wonder Rutherford was placed in prison perhaps it was God's way of punishing him. Everything was a lie! The 144,000 giving meat a due season; the books written prior to 1930. It is enough to make you want to scream at some of the insane concepts that are now still taught in the organization yet the members are unaware.

At times you probably feel displaced, WELCOME you are not alone! It is normal to question what you have been taught and angry when you realize that you have been lied to for YOUR entire life! Perhaps it is normal to feel that what you believe now is a little crazy! Nothing wrong with the God who was revealed to Moses at least it is biblical; compared to what you used to believe as a JW that Jesus Christ was enthroned in1914, and the Gentile times has ended which is cult! Not to mention that in 1919 the JW were taken into captivity which you will read in most of their new books! Just another of many lies!

At least you have this group!

Number 1 through me for a loop! It had me going! until I realized it was not Jehovah's utter it was the 144,000 during the assemblies! Just had a laugh. Thanks for your research.

You do realize that prior to 1930 during the assemblies the so called 144,000 class would do utterances? They would have many small groups with one person in the middle who would utter, speak in tongues. Rutherford thought the message received was good some of them useful, but he said that time had past and it was time for them to stop.

In 1920s, speaking in tongues(utterance) was popular and I think Rutherford used it for a short time to gain followers who believed in speaking in tongues.

I wonder if you could look it up in WT under utterance to see what you will find? I know it was in Rutherford's book.
