4 and in answer jesus said to them: look out that nobody misleads you; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, i am the christ, and will mislead many.
[it is more than apparent that many were misled even by the w.t.s.

If your happy leaving the truth why continue.............
by angel eyes injust want to know why some of you,not all, please dont think im meaning all of you because that truly isnt the case, claim to be happy for leaving the truth, being df etc yet you continue to speak about jehovah or attack him or the organisation??
even for many years after.. this would show that your hurt by them df you.
when someone we love hurts us its natural to want to hurt them back because we have feelings for them.so im thinking that many have love for jehovah still??

Hey Angel Eyes!
A big welcome to the forum! It is great to see a new face around here. As i read your posts here it seems that you feel people are a bit pushy - the problem with the net is that its very easy to come across that way. My experience here is that about 90% of the people are really kind and have some touching stories to tell, unfortunately there is a vocal minority who sometimes come across a bit rude and in-your-face - but i really feel its more about the way they display themselves than how they really are. If you feel you are getting stranglede, shout!
I just want to post a link - its not really the content of the link thats important, its more to show a human face on this board, and that its my experience most come here initially because they are hurt and in doubt (While my story and problems is NOTHING compared to what you and other here are or had gone through that was and is also my angle) you can find it here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/experiences/159928/1/Letter-to-My-Mother-FINAL-After-2yrs3mos-Incomprehensibly-Long.
Whatever you seek i hope you find it.. best of luck

Is there encouragement and hope for the disfellowshipped?
by Butterflyleia85 ini am 24 years old i was disfellowshipped at 21 and reinstated last year january then committed a sin and disfellowshipped again five months later.. i don't think i realized what i got into.
i tried hard to fend for myself and get back in, the pressure got to me and i fell out again.
but since i understood what it entailed i fought hard to stay in.

dear butterfly.. it sound like you are in a hard and confusing situation. I have never been a jehovahs witness (my girlfriend is though) and it is quite hard to give you specific advice regarding your situation. As i understand you, you are not really interested in very polarized views for/against "the truth", but seek help in how to deal with your own emotions regarding being disfellowshipped and how to interact with your family. With those two things, i would strongly recommend you the book "Releasing the bonds" by stephen hassan - he is not and have never been a jehovahs wittness, but it deals with how you can get a good dialogue going with family members who are in a highly controlling religion like jehovahs witness. it helped me a lot, even though you might not agree with all the conclusions. you can read more about it on amazon.
sincerely!

ATJeff Answers Letters from JW Readers
by AllTimeJeff ini didn't want to hijack billy x's attempt at hijacking another thread directed to our apostate terrorist, reinna.
this is a parady that only ex jw's could possibly appreciate.
whether you appreciate my macabre sense of humor is entirely another matter.

Dear GB,
Praise Jah and his Governing Body for letting the light grow brighter on the witness ruling, surely this will be a great help!
I and a few buddies of mine have used this oppertunity to change congregation because we felt there was more work to be done in for the young in the neighbouring congregation, Hallelujah! However at our new congregation we have run into a troublesome sister from our old congregation, who have been reinstated after being DF because she did not trust the holy spirit and instead listened to the demonic false memmories satan had implanted in her kids mind - you know how it is with 4 year olds!
How should a christian handle this situation?
With love,
Brother Big Willie, etc.

Lurkers and Jehovah's Witnesses- The WT Lied to you about " Generation "

i'm going to cut to the chase and just make this brief and direct.

Is the internet hurting new JW recruits?
by JimmyPage inif someone came to your door with a religious message and you were attracted to it, would you immediately google the religion and find out its pros and cons?.

when i first got in contact with jehovahs witness i ran it through google. first hit was watchtower.org and darn, i think they are doing themselves a disfavour by making it so hard to navigate/find out what its all about (really. try to go to watchtower.org and you wont know jehovahs witnesses is a printing company designed to designate information. they ought to hire the guy who did scientologys page). the second hit was wikipedia and then it kind of went downhill with my spirituallity...

IF it is NOT wise for a man to be ALONE with a woman he's NOT married to
by Spike Tassel insola scriptura answered andersonsinfo:.
the wt leadership has hammered into all of it's elders and rank & file's heads, that it is not wise for a man to be alone with a woman he is not married too (adult or young woman... ie 14).
even in congregation sanctioned duties.. so, why, then, do so many service pairings involve just that: a brother alone in the territory (even if it's to make a call) with a sister he's not married to?.

The Dublin "apostasy" after Ray Franz incident - searching for the audio testimony of John May
by Nostromo ingoogle is not my friend anymore, it seems, i cant find a thing.. i was searching for the audio file where john may, the elder from dublin, tells his story when he traveled to brooklyn to find out the truth about the ray franz incident.
i do not mean the talk of his that you can find on 4jehovah.org or 4witness.org, this was a different audio testimony where he just basically tells what happened to him and to his irish elder friend merriman when they wanted to discuss the rf issue with the gb.
i had this file once but cant find it anymore.
