  So I went to vote yesterday...

  guess i'm bird food now, huh?

  it was quite an impulse vote, didn't really know any of the candidates, but i have a small interrest in not having a government change, so i went with that one.

  No ancient-style drama at this year's District Convention?

  i did'nt attend this year's dc, apparently the drama was based on morden times only, no long beards, gowns or rocks on stage.. anyone attended?.

  Youre right. I went to the convention....Only scenes from the present. My boyfriend Mr Bohm was there for the first time, and I think it was a pretty embarrising subjekt. Like a scary campaign against worldly people. The main caracter (a JW) came into "bad relationship" with worldly people - and it ended up with him getting caught by a police officer.... Waaah.

  I want to buy my first book about the WT what should I get?

  and im not really interested in more about the doctrines.. i have read about the book "taking back your life", and mr. bohm has been pestering me about reading the book "releasing the bonds" by steven hassan.. which other books would you recommend?.

  How are you faders doing?

  just wondering how all you slow faders are doing.i know this subject is discussed many times,but personally i wish it was more.we should post every once in a while just to say how we are doing,we need to encourage each other.as for me,it is still going very slow.right now i'm looking into the history that is being covered up.i have learned so much just by reading the older threads.it is very painful for me because this was the truth.and to be finding out so much crap that 99% of jw don't even know,it just is unbelievable.i have cut my field service down,and miss more meetings then i ever did.i'm hoping the sister that is in my face all the time,trying to help me,will forget about me soon......so how are you doing?.

  Well, I have been fading for about 1½ year now - and moved to another city about ½ a year ago - an elder in my new kingdom hall have been stalking me for some weeks, with 3 (unanswered) calls a day - but now, he has quitted Yiiihar - but I kind of miss to have an alarm clock which wakes me up every morning - lol.

  I have celebrated my first birthday and it was FUN FUN FUN. This year im going to celebrate christmas at my boyfriends parents house.

  It irritates my when im at my JW parents, and my dad shuts down the television if there is a scene where 2 people kiss, talk about sex or do anything thats completely harmless... Grrr!!!!

  (UPDATE: I would like to add that this piss me off as well, if for no other reason; that I have to hear about it for WEEKS and my sweet little darling hug the remote when she is with me to compensate - mr. Bohm)

  Resurrection date and parousia questions

  1) do the jws still believe that the first resurrection of the 144,000 began in 1918 or did they change that?.

  2) do they still believe that jesus is present, the parousia is upon us and that he 'returned' invisibly in 1914 or has that also changed?.

  Hey Jonathan!

  I am not 100% about the angle in your second question, but if it is to establish the exact terms the WTS use to describe what happened in 1914 i think its pretty interesting -- i mean, if there is going to be new light, it might begin by using a more 'loose' wording that everyone will *know* what means, but may actually be read another way in 10-20 years.. Anyway, there is a description of 1914 in the january edition of the WT, check it out here: http://www.box.net/shared/t4yfvthtc3 , 1914 is mentioned once at the bottom left part of page 31.

  My name was brought up last night in the elders meeting !!!

  i was just told by my dad that my name was brought up last night in the elders meeting.. my dad (is or was) an elder, and he told me that the elders are going to be giving me a call.

  they have heard rumors that i am an apostate !!.

  he said that the elders received a call from another hall that heard that i was an apostate and 1 local brother also turned me in.. does this mean that they have 2 witness to my sin and that they can df me without a jc?.

  so far she's read double star and tunnel in the sky, she stayed up all night friday night finishing tunnel.
