  Since Leaving "The Truth" Are You Really Happier?

  witnesses say that when people leave "the truth", they get involved in a debauched life, misery, and general unhappiness.. they give experiences of some that left the "sweet fellowship" of the "brotherhood" and the awful results because of it.

  then, they come back and their lives change 100% for the better!.

  have you found life to be miserable and unproductive since "leaving jehovah"?.

  i'm trying to compare some statistics and figures on this to share later in the thread to see if more long-time witnesses are exiting- or are newer witnesses exiting after a shorter period of time.

  and - are more people exiting in the last 10 to 15 years than before.

  so your answers would be helpful in looking into this .

  started going in 1985 at the age of 4. placed first magazines & gave first talk when i was 7. baptized in 1999 at 18 and left in 2002 at 21.

  is this the best of all possible worlds?.

  if it isn't, wouldn't that be the best possible proof that a benevolent and all-powerful deity had nothing to do with creating it?.

  if a loving and benevolent creator was going to create a world--why make one with a built-in self-destruct mechanism??.

  An Explanation of why TIME TRAVEL does not work

  energy and matter are neither created nor destroyed.. consequently, the building blocks of existence are actually finite parts.. to create things in "tomorrow" which are new, something has to be dismantled to leave spare parts for tomorrow's new thing.. the old thing deteriorates, (dies/disintegrates) and the parts become available to make the new thing.. time travel requires going to a place where today's parts are available to be rearranged.. some of today's things persist as they are, of course.

  they only travel through time by persisting as they are.

  (mountains, for example.).

  Porn is .....Mostly Irrelevant

  this is one of those things that can amaze you (well, me actually).

  you are taught a relentless fear about porn and it gets demonized heavily - but what is the real result?.

  most guys don't want a porn star for a wife and separate fantasy from reality in regard to interaction with the opposite sex.. maybe that's why religious types like witnesses demonize it so much: they are unable to distinguish fact from fantasy.. see:.

  guys do you do this girl thing?...

  i've recently met someone and we spent all last evening chatting on the phone.

  this morning comes, i text him and get no responce.

  a few hours go by and i start thinking that hes obviously gone off me, i will never find anyone, must be totaly unattractive and repluse the opposite sex etc etc...basicaly start thinking myself into a depression.. then i get a text midday... hes phone had run out of battery(!

  a girl i dated gave me shit for not calling her back within 3 days after the first time we hung out. "the 3-day rule" she said!!! i asked why she didnt call me....... "the three day rule means that if the guy doesnt call, he's not inetersted".

  i couldnt tell her that i needed the 3 days to break up with my then-girlfriend so i could date her instead :s
