  WT Society Has to be Forced by Courts to Reveal Hidden Child Abuses

  in one of the new pieces of information in the new elders manual - section 5:18 - it shows how elders are instructed to keep all judicial committee information private from media or attorneys.

  keeping in mind how secretive the wt society has been in hiding child abuse within the jehovah's witnesses notice these instructions to elders now.. it states, " if a member of the media or an attorney representing the accused ( or possibly victims ) contacts the elders , they should not give him any information about the case or verify there is a jc.

  rather, they should give the following explanation, " the spiritual and physical welfare of jehovah's witnesses is of paramount concern to the elders, who have been appointed to " shepherd the flock ".

  Oh yeah,

  We learned this first hand in our case. The elders told us to come to them if any media or lawyers wanted information on how they handled these situations. So, naturally when our attorney wanted to know the in and outs of the judicial proceeder we contacted an elder as his request and lets just say, a panic ensued!! This is what I heard on the line "this is so bad" "I'll have to get back to you" and so on. They didn't cooperate at all and in the end my husband was able to answer most of the questions and they were able to get the rest elsewhere.

  Elder do NOTHING and I mean NOTHING to help victims and their families in these situations! They leave them in shock and pain and move on without looking back! It's a shame

  google_ad_section_start hi everyone, i am just new to this site and thanks for a very dear friend that has encouraged me to post my story and would love to hear feedback from all you out there xx.

  this is my story.

  we were introduced to the religion in 1982, not soon after we were unbaptized publishers (a bit to soon for me even at that age) i really didnt miss the celebrations as much as were werent that well off and my parents worked 6 days a week to pay the bills.

  I'm so sorry you went through such a horrible ordeal so young in life This religion really has a lot to answer for when it comes to the damage they have inflicted on so many of us.

  In the end I agree with your words here...

  "Again if my child accused anyone I would be at the authorities right away, they are the only people that can help. Church people are not experts and they are only out to protect their religions name."

  My child was a victim of an adult brother, so I know the importance of letting those who have the education and the background (authorities) handle these cases. The elders are clueless as to what to do and honestly they have no right to even try!! They do much more damage then they will ever know.

  My 16 year old nephew got a tattoo!

  my only nephew, who's mom is inactive and his only exposure to the wt is through my hardcore jw mom, just got a tattoo.

  it's of his mom's name, i would have been super excited if it was of a cross, lol.

  anyway, i had been so worried about him, because i did not know how deep into the jws he is mentally.

  My son is at that age and is already saying he would like to get a tattoo, I guess it really the IN thing right now.

  I told him to wait until he's 18 and if he still wants one I'll take him to get one safely.

  Loneliness and the day I graduated from High School

  many of us have suffered in so many ways as a result of the wtbts.

  i know intense pain, fear and loneliness as a direct result of the wtbts.

  i have overcome most of it in life and am happy now.

  If your were my kid I would have completely embarrassed you on Graduation day..screaming your name and jumping up like a crazy person!

  My kids act like they don't like it but someday they will remember it.

  I'm so very sorry you didn't get to experience that I didn't either.

  I guess the best thing we can do is now is never allow our kids to feel the way we did..make it big and loud and live vicariously through them while watching them enjoy or be annoyed by us.

  As Oprah says...When you know better, you do better.
