  What is your truth?

  what is your truth since you left the wt?.

  im still in physically, but mentally left many years ago.

  i'm just in for my family as is the usual story.

  My truth is I don't mind being ignored or shunned for being who I am, It beats being "loved" for being someone I'm not.

  I mean come on....how real is that "love" anyways?

  Well, it's official, I am a rabid, mentally diseased Apostate!

  so an apostabuddy wanted to stage a silent protest at the assembly hall where she was baptized.

  we went today.

  the plan was to wear these apostate t-shirts that had stuff printed on them about thinking for yourself, and a bunch of websites.

  Very brave

  I find it sick that they would call the police and harass you for simply wearing a shirt .

  Our experience was much different, you should have seen the look of shock when we told the elders we would call the police to the assembly hall if our child's molester came within the 100 yards of our restraining order . I remember them saying.."you would have the police come in the assembly?" with disgust in their faces.

  I guess they welcome child molesters with open arms but God forbid you wear a shirt warning others. Sick!

  as an ex-jw do you tell people about your jw past?

  how much detail do you go into when you tell non-jw's about the organization.

  i usually only ever say anything if somebody asks about my religious affiliation or mentions jw's.

  In response to Standfirm's comment about the two witness rule.

  the jw organization says that two witnesses to separate acts of wrongdoing are acceptable for someone to be df'ed.. "if there is another witness to the same type of sin on the part of the accused, this would be basis for forming a judicial committee.

  I just wanted you to know I feel for you and what you have been through. When I read your posts I feel your pain as if it were mine! My stomach stars to tighten up because I remember how I felt when facing some of the things you went through.

  Standfirm will never listen to our experiences because he doesn't care! He is only here to protect the Org by any means! Don't let him get to you ...he's not worth it!!

  Today my husband surprised me...

  yesterday we were getting our van repaired and while that was going on we decided to window shop at a really cool furniture consignment shop.

  i saw a baker's rack that was really nice and that i would love to have.

  hubby looked at it too and thought it was a nice piece but we had to leave the shop to pick our van.

  1.My dad(active JW at the time) spent time in jail for putting a man in a wheel chair while drunk driving

  2. The ex elder creep that molested my child was convicted and sent to prison for molesting multiple victims for most likely the rest of his life.

  3. An elder in my mothers congregation for some real estate scam.

  4. Another elder in the Spanish congregation that met in the same KH we did for murdering his wife.

  Now ask me why I went inactive???

  Do You Think It Is Wrong To Stereotype?

  i know we are supposed to be politically correct but i don't always feel that this is warranted.. i do think that certain things might be generally true and could be viewed as stereotyping.

  for example, if i see a young person driving a car very slowly, i might think that they are texting and driving (or else are asian).

  now that might not have sounded proper, but i do think it's generally true, from my experience driving in the city.. if i see a "butchy" looking woman, i generally assume the woman is gay.

  I think it's wrong for others to stereotype me or my family but I have no problem stereotyping them
