Facebook (computer) question
by Mad Sweeney inif one sends a message via facebook that might also include a picture, is it possible for the receiver to trace where the message came from?
obviously, they know it came from facebook username soandso, but do they have any way to know (perhaps via some tags on the image) where the message really came from (ip address, location, etc.
)?.

Since Leaving "The Truth" Are You Really Happier?
by minimus inwitnesses say that when people leave "the truth", they get involved in a debauched life, misery, and general unhappiness.. they give experiences of some that left the "sweet fellowship" of the "brotherhood" and the awful results because of it.
then, they come back and their lives change 100% for the better!.

Elder called last night and they are stopping by tonite for a 'visit'.......
by troubled mind insurprised me that he actually followed up on his word and called .
it will be strange after four yrs.
to have them in our house .my husband was not happy to hear it will be two brothers coming over, because he really does not want to feel we are being counseled .

My husband and I decided not meet with the elders under any circumstances because we are pretty sure they are to get us. They have used my friends to come in and "act" supportive in order to gather information and then they disappear and wont answer my calls or texts.
I'm personally so done with all of them and I wouldn't trust any elder. Please be careful, I can't help but to think they are trying to get something on you because we all know it's not LOVE.... I hope I'm wrong, but I have tons of reasons to never trust them again.

by mrsjones5 infacebook plays a big part in what i'm about to tell since all the players involved are either currently on facebook or were on it when all this unfolded.
about 2 weeks ago my cousin starts trashing her mother, calling her names and screaming how her mother is a piss poor mother and now she's an orphan.
come to find out that my aunt (who's an on again off again jw - i think she's currently off) has chosen my cousin's bil over her, has been with said bil for close to a year (yeah there's sex involved - brrr gross, makes me sick just thinking about it) and bil is currently in jail for assault and sexually battery on a minor (said minor may be the daughter of another cousin, the granddaughter of my aunt's oldest sister, who was under my aunt's care).

At a 2 day assembly ...the point that the brother spoke about that drove me mad....."don't hug your husband, wife or child during prayer".
by crazy2try ini attended one day of a two day assembly and did ok until the very last talk.
the brother was from bethal and well jw's pay closer attention to their talks, cause that is when some new info is given,,,right.
well anyways i lost focus and began to daydream, cause it became one of those talks that just talks about wasting time.

Remember that Elder that stopped by my house in December ?
by troubled mind inwell i ran into him at the grocery store the other night ......why is it that my throat still tightens up and i get this anxious laugh when i talk to him ?
i want to be confident and assertive ,but ultimately i end up acting like a blubbering idiot !.
backstory is that he stopped by in december because i had put winter decorations out on my porch and he wanted to know if we were indeed celebrating christmas now .

Hi troubled mind,
I understand how you feel. I have felt this way and have made it worse with some family members for telling them how I feel about certain things. In my opinion they don't want to know unless it's your saying your going back to meetings. In their mind you are dead unless you go back, so it doesn't matter how much you have been stumbled my the bad things and false teachings going on in the Org. They want you to look past it because after all... they are imperfect.
It's a no win situation...sadly.

At the bookstudy the elder called on a brother to say prayer..your should have seen the elders wife as she tried to get his attention to stop him, it was hilarious.
See, the brother he called on was a study and you better believe the whole prayer was filled with Lord this and Lord that... it was so funny seeing that outwardly perfect elderette almost lose her mind trying to stop her husband.
