Even without what we now know this letter describes JK as a "fine brother" and then lists why he is a complete fruitcake that you would only allow to walk round in handcuffs and with an armed guard.
Makes my blood boil.
Bastards!
as many of us saw in the pbs news hour program and the abc news nightline program the elders from one congregation failed to communicate properly to the elders in another congregation concerning the child molester jonathan kendrick when he moved to a new congregation.
i have parts of this " introduction letter " from the fremont congregation to the oakley congregation elders so you can read it for yourself and decide how irresponsible these wt appointed elders were.
dated 1/16/98 it opens : .

had an interesting thought this morning.
when a witness is 'in' they think everyone else is following and trying there best all in unity.
i believe the reality is there are a lot of us 'in' who know different.
Very good post freemindfade. I think you can tell who most of the zealots are "hearts abundance" and all that. But there are lots who are "ill" "depressed" "CFS/ME" types and it wouldn't surprise me if many of them (those that can do what they want to do but can't cope with so-called spiritual stuff)) are only in because they are fearful of the consequences if they leave.
as per the title.
and was the one you attended at an early or late time of the evening.. any partakers?.

just found out (second hand of course) and by someone on here that my faithful jw mum passed away within the last couple of days, dont know the exact day, and what cause, she spent the last few years living with my fanatical sister, she was 65 and survived my father by 10 years, bitter, angry and hateful till the end and never as so much enquired or asked how her 2 grandchildren ever were , they are 5 and 7!
feeling a mixture of emotions right now, they were lousy parents in all honesty, she suffered health wise so maybe its for the best, dont even know when the funeral is!
jookbeard - this is easier for me to say than for you to do, but reading your last post this is my take. Bear in mind I do not know your situation and so I am shooting from the hip.
Don't go to her funeral. She didn't want you there. That is abnormal for any close relative to state. She sounds as if she was a most twisted individual. Maybe she did her own twisting or she built upon others twisting of her.I don't know.
It seems that her life was all about her. I've found some (not all) witnesses joined for what they could get. They obviously felt they deserved better than the rest of humanity. They deserved everlasting life; they deserved their parents being resurrected, in short they felt entitled. As the years slip by they get disappointed, depressed, negative, bitter and twisted.
She allied herself either tacitly or openly, I do not know which - with your abusive father - and she hated having been exposed - for her inaction or support of his behaviour - along with him.
If there is anyone who might be puzzled by your not attending that you care about you could send them a note saying that you would have gone to your mother's funeral as any normal loving human being would. But explain that (name the individual) told you that your mother did not want you there. Tell them you have no reason to doubt that individual's word and so have chosen to stay away.

jehovah god commanded the angels to worship the son, but he himself did not bow down to his son.
jan 1, 1953 wt, page 23. when did this change (the nwt was already published).
happy easter!
my husband and i who are former jws are starting a new bible discussion group on sundays @1pm, south of boston.
we will begin the group on sunday may 3rd.
they're baaaack!!!
jws "tabling" at my student center again, first time in over six months.
i wonder if the fact it's been 15 degrees out had anything to do with it?
(posted for andersonsinfo).
people are protesting against plans to build a large care home for jehovahs witnesses behind their houses.. homeowners living in the bloors lane area of rainham have lodged objections to proposals by the jah jireh charity, which specialises in spiritual and physical care for followers of the religion.. people living in neighbouring homes say it is too big and its three storeys will dwarf their properties.. .
what the care home will look like.
No I think Jah-Jireh is one of the highlights of what is good about JW's.
A group of jw people stood up to the Society who did/do zippo nadda nil and nowt for its elderly except say go and be warm and well fed (as long as we don't have to pay) and got these homes built.
Even the Society were too ashamed to go against this but they do nothing to help. Here in the UK the elders are not allowed to put Jah-Jireh newsletters on the noticeboards let alone make an announcement about it.
yes they did say he was a jw in this news report:.
http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/authorities-try-to-determine-new-orleans-airport-machete-attacker-s-motive-416322627620.
Incredible ... the report says right at the end that Richard White was a Jehovah's Witness and he refused certain medical treatment (he was shot 2 or 3 times) and later died.
So you are so mental that you can try and kill others but you are worried that God is going to be upset if you have certain medical treatment? (Blood obviously)
It's a new level of crazy ...
i brought this up in a conversation after today's meeting.
the elder knowingly acknowledged the growing number and pointed out that of course, now we understand why this is so.
i gave my best blank stare and said "we do?

Very Good!
