  Why's everybody getting divorced????!

  this is insanity!

  literally four couples that i know closely & personally have told me in the last two weeks that they are divorcing their spouses.

  and there are a couple on here whom i've discovered are separating as well (these two i do not know personally, but i'm a little surprised & saddened regardless).

  I can say that living as a very dedicated JW and my husband living a very dedicated military career, took a huge toll on this marriage. He retired and has to learn who he is and what he wants, I came out of the org and have to do the same. We are not the same people we were 15 years ago.............wf

  The last Circuit Assembly I went to in January focused entirely on Satan and nothing about Jesus. In fact it was so noticable I took specific notes on it. I laughed to myself because it made me think that if Satan exists, he must be very proud that two full days were spent talking about him! He doesn't care what kind of attention he gets as long as he gets it...........wf

  does anyone know frome experience ... when does it end?.

  the shunning.. after you have been reinstated and you think you are back to square 1 ... then it all goes south.. it's like you were still df'd.

  don't post "what did i expect" sort of thing.

  I'm not even da'd or df'd just considered at this point inactive I guess. Haven't been to anything since January, NOT ONE PERSON has tried to contact me or my family, so the shunning happens before, during and after forever......wf

  once again, not a verbatim transcript, but the points i thought seemed pertinent from this talk...once agian, all it seems to be talking about is the end, but did manage a swipe at the internet as well....... .

  can you feel it, it seems to be everywhere, what many people are feeling today is the desire for change, many are simply overwhelmed with the pressures of everyday life....... .

  This stuff is sick. Can these people not see that the world is actually getting BETTER not worse? Of course they can't see that. Using words like "end" and "disturction", they are just inviting war onto this planet and it doesn't have to be that way! I've said all along since I left, I'd rather take my chances with the God of the Universe, than them and their discription of the 'end'. I can't believe how after just 6 months I can read this stuff with clear eyes, and see how awful it really sounds! I'm almost speechless!........wf

  Jesus Found Him

  this will be posted on freeminds in due course for the benefit of jws who are reading the articles there;.

  there are two accounts in the bible centered around jesus that were a great help to me as i was leaving the control of the watch tower society.. to me, the watch tower society, with it's governing body and local representatives, the elders, were my religious leaders.

  i was, in all truth, a religious person.

  so a good friend of mine e-maild me today with this information.

  aparently brother hurd says as of 2010 all the magazine printing and distribution will be moved to canada.

  the only printing the us will do is the books.

  Questioning me as an apostate

  i am an active jw.

  i was born in the "truth" (i really feel uncomfortable calling it that) and am now married to a witness.. for a year now, i have actually come to see that the gb are just business-psychologists.

  anyone who views jehovah's witnesses as a religion and not a cult, really needs to evaluate their way of thinking and they also need to look up the definition of the word "cult".. anyway, my parents recently came over on holiday (they live in another country and are also residents of bethel).

  now i understand the mechanics of cult mind control, i can see precisely why they make the statements highlighted in bold.

  it does make me question whether the governing body are cognizant of their use of mind control.

  Sometimes I think the GB sit up there and look at eachother dumbfounded at how many people are actually willing to buy into all this crap. They probably can't believe it themselves and that's probably why they easily let people go. They know others will come in. Makes me wonder......wf

  Wow, thanks for the info. Once again the WTS took their cues (sp?) from the "world" and what was most efficient. Where is the Holy Spirit? Wouldn't Jehovah had set them up perfectly from the beginning so this org could have really stood out and the rest of the world could have learned from them instead of it being visa versa? It's embarrasing and humiliating and patranizing to think all they had to do (if this is in fact true) is say that the Bible Teach book was just doing so well etc........ I feel sorry for the people that buy that load of crap and sad that the smallest, lamest answer/reason can be given without question and everyone gets so excited about it! God help them..........wf

  update: the friend that gave me this original info said that the reason being given for moving the mag printing and shipping to Canada is because, and get this.........the Bible Teach Book is having unbelievable success and they need all of Pattersons printing operations to go into that book! What?!?! Like my friend said, where's the proof of the success of this book especially in this country? Are we now just leaving one on every door? Is this just another cover up for the real reasons? What gives?.........wf
