Recycling is always the first and best choice. I have to admit I am getting rid of mine IN THE TRASH one box at a time. My son said "why would you want anyone else to read this stuff?" I agree. I adhore those bound volumes and the other literature and I actually think I'm doing the world a favor by getting rid of them and not allowing someone else to read them. It would have been better off as 'magot' food instead of so called 'spiritual' food. Just my opinion......wf

i looked over the aug. 1 public watchtower and noticed the same changes i observed previously.. plainly put, it appears that they have simply run out of things to say and so are just filling up printing space!.

they devote 4 full pages to a bible reading schedule that could have been easily condensed into a couple sentences.

they have the same large graphics and typeset that eats up printing area.

Christian T.V show....man claims after car accident Jesus talked to him! Are they on drugs or lying?

this guy had a serious accident and had limbs amputed but when interviewed claims very logically that while waiting for help jesus appeared and told him..."jim, everything will be okay, it's not your time...i need you to be a missionary for me..." this guy talks about it like it's nothing!

are these people for real or just lying.....i agree with marx who said "religion is the opium of the people.

JW Defenders- Is WTS Right to Insist You Stay Away From these Websites?

i read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?

) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.

i don't want to harp on each point.

and P.S. Is it right for the org to warn people to stay away from these sites? Yes! They are well aware that it will start a process of leaving and of course they don't want that. The truth will stand on it's own, the wts can't........

For active jw's who are here, whether they know it or not yet, something in their sub-conscious is opening a door for them to be free of mind control. This is a good thing! It is part of their journey out. IMO if they stay here, they absolutely will come out from under the wts eventually and that's what their minds and bodies want to do. It's all part of a journey. There is no other reason people like them would be on boards like this. NONE. When I was an active JW, and a very good one at that, I would never have even dreamed of coming onto something like this UNTIL I DID! Why? Because something was giving way in my mind and this is one of the places it led me. We are not designed to be under mind-control. It is a process that every human will take no matter what mind controled org or group or anything, they might be part of. Just like one day those of us who are active on here, will fade away. We are on a journey back to our Source which is Love. We are all on a journey. I welcome those active jw's here for this very reason. It will be better for them in the long run...........wf

as an accomplished musician and composer, he has contributed so much over the years.his work is in most of the homes of an avg jw.

I heard they had to make a new song book to update the current jw terminology? If they re-did it because it had 'evil' stuff in it before , then where was the Holy Spirit when the old one was being recorded? Do these people not understand that they prove the arguments on this board to be true, everyday! Maybe they got rid of it so those that contributed to it and are no longer in, don't try to sue the org for some type of compensation or rights to their work? Interesting...........wf

"test every inspired expression......" which means anyone can say that something is inspired OR that every expression is always inspired? Interesting. Either way, test it. The way I test things now, is how does it make me feel. When something feels like good energy, to me it's closer to the Source. We've been taught to ignore our inner, God given intuition............wf

I FINALLY got a call from the elders ater 8 months!

could it be they really do love me and miss me and want to be true shepards and welcome me back.

am i really the 'lost sheep out of the 99' and they are here to show christ-like love to me and my family?

have they really just been sooooo busy for 8 months and they are terribly sorry, their was no excuse for that and they are going to make it up to us?.

When I heard Roberto's story the other day (on the phone coference), he had been in since he was two, worked his way all the way to the top, when he stopped going nobody got in touch with him for two years! And he was a Circuit Assembley Overseer! Didn't make me feel so bad. And when they finally talk to you, they never ask how you are, they are cold and tell you what they want.

I'm posting a note on my door this weekend that says "Now you can go tell the CO you stopped by, you did your job. Now never come back!" I'm serious. Their CO visit is next week, I think I can expect someone to try to stop by, I don't know........wf

I know, and what makes me crazy is that now these elders can go back to the co and say, "we've tried to contact her, we went by to see her, she didn't answer, wont talk to us, etc........" when that's the farthest thing from the truth! Why do they preach that they are from Jehovah, set up to care for the 'sheep' and then NOT do it? Why do they even set themselves up like this? Unbelievable.

Oh, the CO's in town next week, just wanted to check if my 'records' are current. Gosh I'm so sorry I wasn't here when they stopped by and only got to listen to their message on the phone.

Isn't it strange what these idiots will do right before the CO comes? The CO must be the most decieved person in the org. Any CO's or ex-CO's who know what really goes on when their not around?...............wf
