fantastic programme. They had to delay the third episode as someone was arrested and ended up awaiting trial. I'm Scottish (East coast) and had difficulties in understanding the accents (West Coast).

I know the feeling! In the big cities in the UK there is a network called city socialising where people organise events and other members can go. You meet loads of different people. It might seem daunting at first but social clubs are fantastic!

Question on Donations By Credit and Debit Card
by lurker inrecently there has been mention of assemblies with credit card machines for contributions.
it was also mentioned on the last six screens call i think at the stanley theatre.
has any one seen this taking place?

I recall seeing them about 4 or 5 years ago at a circuit assembly in England.
Personally, I find it in bad taste. Particularly when they get up on the same platform and start going on about not having debt etc!

I remember having them in Maine years ago with jam. They were a specialty of someplace and were rather expensive. When they came out I thought they looked very much like Yorkshire puddings and the taste was pretty much the same!

Length of Meetings - what do they total per week now?

the meetings used to be three times a week and totalled five hours.. the public talk on a sunday was reduced from one hour to three quarters of an hour whilst we were still attending and then following our fade we were aware that the tuesday night group book study was stopped.. does this now mean the meetings total three and three quarter hours?.
my husband was asking me this morning and i wasn't sure so wondered if anyone can help me out here.. thanks.. li.

When did they get rid of the 15 minutes between the PT and WT? I can vaguely remember it when I was 3 or 4 years old so though would have been around 1984/5.
My parents love the fact that there is only 2 meetings a week now.
