We Celebrated Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

tomorrow will be our 3rd anniversary that we got married.. yesterday, we celebrated early at our home.

we had a bbq cookout.

we ate chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, turkey burgers and all sorts of good stuff (excellent potato salad as well).. the family came and we had a blast.

watching one of my all time fave movies on oxygen channel......the soundtrack is my fave of all movies btw.....but the entire time it is on there is an ad in white in the bottom right corner that says.... dance your ass off.

now dont get me wrong....i cuss like a sailor compared to when i was a goodie two shoes dubbie.......but it did make me think that as a kid that was a "bad" word.....you could get in trouble at school for using it.......prob even if referring to a farm animal.....and now here it is on the tv screen for an entire movie???.

anyway....it is bugging me......oompa.

I think that swear words are like spices. Used sparingly, they can enhance comments or jokes. You may love garlic salt, but if you dump a cup of it into a dish it will be inedible. I can stand watching anything with constant swear words.

What the Family Worship Evening Arrangement Really Entails

as most people here know the combined book study allows an evening for "family worship".. the co visits march - august 2009 is really focussing on this.

if a jdub family head doesn't do a full evening of family worship and uses this time to do recreational activities he is as guilty as isrealite who didn't use the sabbath for worship.

the result, will of course be same as the unfaithful isrealite, death!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps they would outline most of the items and then have a 'special needs' item like in the service meeting.

I knew a family that used to make every family study about something one of the kids had done wrong. Each week they knew exactly who was in trouble and for what. I don't think a single one of them is a witness anymore.
