Come on,
The GB knows it's all BS. They are on top of it.
I don't believe they can be true JW believers.

during gerrit loesch's talk just released, he goes on a long list of the false end times predictions throughout the millennia.
i didn't expect it, but then he goes into the precursors to the bible students who, when their dates failed, changed christ's presence to have happened 'invisibly'.
then it goes right into the jws, and he reads the quote from millions now living will never die about how we can 'confidently expect' the resurrection in 1925, and then the life everlasting book that predicted 1975. of course, he doesn't say how it's still going on, namely with the overlapping generation and its' accompanying convoluted chart, but still, this is more than they've ever said on the subject, especially recently.. it almost sounds like a forced statement, to address any backlash from people reading 'apostate lies' online, because he also says how the gb 'humbly' admitted mistakes, referencing the non-apology after 1975 that disturbed raymond franz.

@JustMe2
Prior to the 1995 "This generation" change, there was a talk at the Convention that made the audience silent. It was the last talk of the Saturday session by Jan Crans, then the Dutch branche very kind and respected scholar. He later was removed from the branch comitee and became head of the Dutch cleaning department and emigrated with his wife to the US. The talk was about Matthew 24:3, "When will this occur / happen" and about 24:29, the signs in sun, moon and stars. It was a word for word HQ written talk. During and after it, there was a lot of speculation. "Were was this talk about?". One thing was clear, some of Jesus return would be visable for mankind. More then we were told in doctrine before the talk.
The style and the way Losch talk was done at the recent video has lot of the atmosphere, the vague arguments, the "listing to something diferent" and the idea "there is some change underway, we just heared it but don't understand it".

This is the official answer of jw.org about 100 years of 1919.
The style of the talk is like the "Tell us when will this occur" part at the 1993 convention, about the "Sun, moon and stars" in the time of the end.
There was a lot of speculation about the real purpose of that talk in 1993. Change "was in the air", was the feeling. And it was, just before the new generation doctrine in 1995.
Losch was just reading a talk written by some one else. I think it is written by David Splain or Herman van Salm, the Dutch helper of the GB, because of the long list of European historical persons claiming to know the date of the End.
Curious!

when i was 5/6 i remember being in the car with my jw mom and a jw sister.
they noticed a yellow ish glowing cloud in the sky which really freaked them out and they both declared that it must be a sign that armageddon was here!
they then spent the whole car trip declaring that the police and army were about to come and round up all of us.
Do you remember Assisi?

just part of the article.. (cnn)the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, commonly referred to as the mormon church, responded tuesday to a recently-filed whistleblower complaint that accuses the church of stockpiling $100 billion in accounts intended for charitable works, misleading members and avoiding paying taxes.. .
It's all about money. WTS is a professional corporation when it has to do with $$$.

jehovahs witness yearbook, 1967 p.105: cameroon"on one occasion a large crowd was following a man who had a talking serpent.
the serpent gave greetings and spoke in foreign tongues....a brother was passing by, attracted by the commotion, he went to the house to see what was happening.
as soon as he entered the room the serpent stopped talking.
A brother called André...

not having attended any meetings since about 2001, for reasons of safety (sounds a bit dramatic but i don't like my wife being out on her own late at night where we live now), i have started accompanying her to the mid-week meeting.. when i was young, the ministry school and service meeting were central to training brothers to take the lead.
you were assigned instruction talks, then if you cut it, you moved pretty rapidly to public talks - a full 55 mins at the time.
i was just 18 years old when i gave my first public talk and this was a first step to moving rapidly through the ranks.

the basic virtue for a human being is to be true to yourself – the integrity of thought, emotion, and action.. .
ten years ago ( after 32 years as a jehovah's witness), i finally decided that my own mental sanity and being true to myself was more important than attending congregation meetings and serving the watchtower society.
i stopped (years before) field service, the ministry school, answering at the watchtower studies, missed numerous meetings and walked in minutes before the meetings started and left after the closing prayer, i knew it was time to leave.
Woke up in 1995 (generation change) and fade in 2008.
