I think that is the best conclusion you can come to. The WTS would have you believe that the WTS has leadership.......and not just human leadership. They would have dubs believe that JC/Jehovah directs the GB/Organisation. Well, the UN/NGO fiasco shows that no such 'divine' leadership exists. Worse I suppose is that it also shows clearly that the GB has no idea or control what goes on. Recall what Ray Franz said many years ago in 'COC' that most publications were composed without any input from the 'GB'...but the 'slave' took credit for them..and the R+F all nodded their heads to what the 'slave' said. Indeed, Ray wrote the 'Aid Book' without any supervision of the then GB. This lack of leadership has continued down to our present day. Who got the WTS NGO status? Who endorsed it? Were the 'leadership' interested enough? Can it control what goes on? The WTS have hastily withdrawn its NGO status....now! Who do the R+F have to thank for that? JC, Jehovah, the GB....no they have to thank those who have left....APOSTATES for bringing this into the open.

the recent "uncovering" of the watchtower's complicity with the united nations calls for prompt phinehas-like action to "keep jehovah's organization clean".

an investigative committee should be formed to determine "who knew and when did they know it?

" a judicial hearing should follow for those governing body members who "signed on" to this impure alliance.. the current governing body of jehovah's witnesses should resign immediately as they are no longer "examples to the flock"(1 pet.

first of all, let me make it clear that i have left the wts, and i don't agree with its teachings (mostly, the organisation presented as "gods prophet").. i have a few family members who are jws.

does everyone here think it is loving of us to tell them all the things that the wts have done wrong?

once they realise that the wts is corrupt, they experience.

In a surprise development today, Jehovah, the God of the Christian Fundamentalist sect 'Jehovah's Witnesses' made a statement about the recent controversy regarding the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society(WTS) and its NGO status. The 'WTS' has now dissassociated itself from its previous NGO connection but had held such a position for the past 9 years or so. 'I've had enough' said the Diety, 'I just don't know what I am supposed to do with these people.' Over the years the sect has had a strained relationship with the Diety. 'I've been patient over the years........I've put up with the many false predictions they have made ....all in my name I might add....I've put up with the commands, stupid rules and burdens they have placed on the people....but this takes the manna. They have made my position untenable as their God. By associating themselves with the United Nations they have cocked up the whole thing.I was in two minds whether to go along with the 'scarlet coloured beast' prophecy but when they decided to get on the thing as well .... I could not in good conscience destroy all the other world religions for doing the same thing. Having considered all the circumstances I have reluctantly decided that the 'paradise' or 'new system' that they often refer to shall be postponed indefinitely. They have not kept themselves seperate from the world and they have further invalidated the preaching work. In the meantime I propose that they shall wander about in their confused state indefinitely and become a greater laughing stock and public spectacle to the nations.' Shares in the troubled Sect were suspended on the news that its God had effectively disowned them. Market analysts had been predicting for some time that the stock had been overvalued and was ready for a fall. It share value reached a peak shortly before 1975 but ever since they has been a steady decline with some quite dramatic falls of late. Disgruntled shareholders have threatened to demonstrate outside its New York HQ over loss of paradise. Said one unhappy shareholder 'I had all my funds in WTS shares I was looking forward to having my own log cabin, friendly wild animals in paradise and now look what I've got ....nothing. I feel let down and very angry.' Leaders of the Organisation were unavailable for comment but it is widely rumoured that they will try and carry on...even though they know God is not backing them. One inside source commented ' The management team have known for sometime that God has not been behind them so I guess this was not a surprise. They will introduce some 'new light' to keep shareholders happy.' In the past 'new light' has often helped the WTS maintain market share at least in developing countries. One Expert who did not want to be named said, 'WTS 'new light' has and always will be utter crap...don't buy it!'.

as american bombs and missiles struck taleban targets in four afghan cities for the second consecutive night, the bush administration served formal notice at the united nations that this could be just the beginning of a worldwide campaign and that campaign has been extended to iceland.

john negroponte, the us ambassador to the un, said that the us investigation prompted military action against iceland as he had conclusive evidence that it sheltered al-qaeda and its taleban protectors...at some point, although he excepted that their might have been a spelling mistake.

Geoff Hoon, the Defence Secretary, did not rule out the possibility that British Forces could be involved with the Americans in the invasion of Iceland.

He told BBC2’s Newsnight: “The Prime Minister has made it clear that we will root out international terrorism wherever it arises so the invasion of Iceland was always on the cards. We are however concerned at the typo possibility. But I believe very strongly that the signals we are sending to the world will be sufficient to encourage other countries to recognise that they can no longer support international terrorism.”

The American threat coincided with fears that the country was suffering another terrorist attack, with the detection of diarreaha in a office's toilet in Florida after a second case of the disease. A British-born man who worked in the office said he had the 'trots' last week.

The FBI launched an emergency investigation and John Ashcroft, the Attorney-General, said that he could not rule out the possibility that this was a bioterrorist attack.

Tony Blair later told the House of Commons that even when bin Laden’s network in Afghanistan was dealt with “the job is not over”. He added: “The network of international terrorism is not confined to it and the further action in Iceland was definetely needed although I had questioned whether there had been a typo also.”

Mr Blair said that Britain had a direct interest in defeating terror. “We know that, if not stopped, the terrorists will do it again, this time possibly in Britain. Iceland is nearer to us than Afghanistan. We have had problems in the past from Vikings and other manic dudes. I can not allow history to repeat it self. ”

Has the WTS ever made a prediction that came true?

this morning a thought occured to me "has the society ever made a prediction or prophecy that has come true"?.

most of us are familiar with the prophecies or dates the wts has emphasized in the past.

of course all of those predictions never proved to be accurate so the question is, "if this is god's prophetic organization where is the proof"?.

The Role of Afterlife in Suicide Terror Attacks

i just read a very interesting article in slate magazine, at http://slate.msn.com/dispatches/01-10-05/dispatches.asp.

it discusses the role the glorious descriptions of the afterlife in islam can have in motivating people to commit such atrocities as what happened on sept 11. it is interesting to note that only a minority, extremist view of islam encourages suicide terrorist attacks.

it is also interesting, and scary, to note which type of people are exposed to such propaganda.. .

It is an extreme position taken by these.........but when you break it down........are you really surprised? Do you believe it[the religion] or not? If you DO everything else is easy. You are certain of the future reward.

I honestly believe the same mentality effected the JW's re 1975, ie selling businesses, giving up education, some not having children.....and with the blood issue i.e. letting children die etc.

The role of afterlife........or paradise hope was pivotal in people doing non-sensical things.
