I have been with Robert Redford on location and I can tell you he hires only witnesses to clean. This is a known fact. So what's the big deal? Why is there so much hate in apostates hearts?

by Dutchie inthere was a middle-aged woman in our kingdom hall who was a long time pioneer.
she was a very warm and loving woman and so when she announced her plans for a family vacation one year some of us got together and took up a little collection so that she would have some extra money to spend.
after all, she was working hard for jehovah and werent we supposed to show our appreciation?.

Hi crawdad2,
You asked me what makes me think that disfellowshipped people have turned their backs on God? You should know the answer to that, I have been brainwashed to believe that! Seriously, the man that just posted made a decision at some time in his life to worship Jehovah and now he is glad that the "burden' of serving Jah has been removed in his life. It is sad, but it is his choice. As far as the Governing Body, I really haven't a clue as to what they are doing right now, since they have stepped down. Yes, I feel that Jehovah has given them insight and I also feel that they have made decisions that were a "poor judgement call". I know for a fact from personal experience that Jehovah helps through his spirit to give insight to elders. The problems with the GB and elders both is if they rush to conclusions on certain matters, some things take prayerful consideration and waiting on Jehovah. But yes, as one of Jehovah's witnesses, I believe very firmly that Jehovah helps direct His servants in their worship. Didn't you believe this at one time?

If Jehovah's witnesses are such thieves, why does Robert Redford hire only witnesses to keep his house or apartment clean while he is on a location filming? His wife is a Morman, so why doesn't he get a Morman to do this? He trust Jehovahs witnesses because they have a fantastic reputation for not stealing. This woman that stole this man's money probably will end up here on this discussion board talking with her friends if her unchristian conduct is ever found out!

You mean 'chance'. C'mon, you know and I know that the brother was joking! Your doing the very thing that you apostates accuse the Society of doing, and that is taking quotes out of context.

It is sad to see someone who served Jehovah in the capacity of elder, turn on Jehovah and get disfellowshipped. What were you disfellowshipped for? Did you try an appeal?

Are women naturally "Bi" ?
by refiners fire injust a question.
actually a friend of mine, alex, (who hopefully might read this and commence posting on this board) has been insisting for 20 years that women are naturally bi sexual.
i laughed at his claims.. but now, looking around here, and based on numerous group chats ive had with women on this site, there seems to be some evidence that his theory is correct.

Women are not naturally bisexual. Aposate women might learn bisexuality because of their immoral life style, but sisters in the truth are very content with a nice brother.

Was Russell a freemason and an adventist?

Thank you Naeblis,
I just had a bunch of apostates in the chat tell me that Russell was both a Freemason and a member of the adventist church. I knew that they were wrong and I hope that they read this. It is a sad thing when a witness knows more 'apostate information' than the apostates.

How could have Rutherford been a 'drunk'?
by wholewheat ini feel that the apostate's claims that rutherford was a drunk to be far fetched.
on the one hand, they claim that he was so drunk that the brothers at bethel shipped him to san diego to beth sarim, where he stayed drunk out of his mind, then on the other hand, they claimed that he ruled the society with an iron fist, that he was a dictator.
no drunk could have ruled the society like a dictator.

larc,
your questions have nothing to do with my original question, but I will answer your questions.
You asked:'What was Beth Sarim and Beth Shan?
answer:...Beth Sarim was built in 1929 for Rutherford to live in. It was believed that the ancient worthies would come back and live there. Beth Shan was built with a bomb shelter to protect Rutherford in case war broke out on American soil.
You asked:'What does the Proclaimers book say as to the purpose of Beth Sarim?
answer:...The Proclaimers book says that it was built for Rutherford to live there during the winter months because of his poor health.
You asked:'What was the religous belief regarding the purpose of Beth Sarim?
answer:..Rutherford taught that Abraham, Issac, Jacob, David and others were going to be resurrected and rule the earth. The house was built so that they would have a place to live. Rutherford was just house sitting till they arrived.
OK larc. I answered your questions, now would you kindly answer mine?

I think everyone should carefully read my original post. I never said that Rutherford wasn't an alcoholic. I said that I felt that his drinking was blown out of proportion. I have read various comments on the net about Rutherford as follows:
-He had to be helped to the podium at a San Diego convention to give a talk because he was so drunk.
-He would get drunk then write Watchtower articles.
-He would get drunk then talk to spirits.
-He had beer parties at Bethel.
-The brothers had to move him to Beth Serim because he would get drunk at Bethel and walk down the hallways and make scenes by yelling and carrying on.
-He stayed drunk while he lived in the San Diego mansion.
There is a saying that says all drunks are alcoholics, but not all alcoholics are drunks. I never said that the apostates said he was in the '5 stage' of alcoholism, I said that they are giving the IMPRESSION, yes the IMPRESSION that he was a chronic, lunatic alcoholic. Have any of you ever heard of the word 'facetious'? That word means 'not be taken seriously'. I was being facetious when mentioning '5th stage alcoholism'. I was suggesting that his drinking could have been on the order of a Winston Churchill, and not some 'out of his mind' drunk. I asked if there was a source that was not biased towards Rutherford that could confirm that he was a 'drunk'. I can accept that he was an alcoholic, but that he was a drunk, I wanted to know if there was another source other than his enemies. Did he drink everyday? How much did he drink? What did he drink? What was his alcohol blood level content? Come on!! Surely you experts would know the answers to these questions!
