That is all great and wonderful for the JW's. I understand that normal "worldly" people may be a necessary safety valve for a JW. Too bad for the datees, who have no idea why their partner is so hot and cold and guilty as heck. One bad day of guilt, and they could dump their lovers like a sack of bad potatoes.
The irony is that these (relatively) normal people can help the JW's keep up the facade that much longer by keeping them grounded.

You are getting good advice about the futility of arguing with someone who will not listen. It is a wiser choice to become strong and build your own faith up. That will likely take some personal investigation and soul-searching on your part. But I guarantee the journey is worth it.

Yes, let’s look at the biblical example of sinners being used by God, shall we? Pharoah, Judas, and the Pharisees were all used by Jehovah to accomplish his will. The Pharisees accurately prophesied that Jesus would die on behalf of the people, and then helped bring that prophecy to fulfillment (John 11:49-53). It is true that Jehovah uses all circumstances and all men to bring about His will. The big question is, does the WTS really want to be associated with the unrighteous, or do they want to stand on the side of honesty, truth, and light? Light and darkness cannot be in the same place at once.
for my project i have chosen "better communication within the nursing/medical team" and i've got a rough idea of what i want to say, but i just want to know if any of you have any good advice about presentation skills i need to employ.
in my own ward environment i'm, if anything over the top, laughing and joking, have plenty of confidence, because i know them, and they're my staff.
but the thought of having to present infront of a room of 100, made up of all the hospital managers and directors is starting to make me quake a bit!!!

i joined the witnesses in 1998, but i have always doubted the organization, but not the faith.
i am still jehovah's witness, but i am sure that the elders will kick me out as soon as possible, should they know what my real thoughts about the organization are.

) to show them why it makes no sense for me to be a witless.. god has chosen a group of men that included the right hand man of a famed apocalyptic cult leader that said jesus would return in 1845, a famed swindler, a man that had a mistress, a man that based some of his dates for biblical prophecies on the great pyramid, a contemporary object not specifically mentioned in the bible, then denying he ever did that, a man who unethically took over a corporation and am alcoholic who told people to break prohibition laws in his religious journal, all to play roles his new church?
what would you think if god chose these guys just for auxiliary roles in his church?
What is your goal here? To vent? To convince? I think short "sound bytes" of information with your family, though it takes longer, will reap you a more productive result.

so i'm helping out my mother with her garage sale this weekend.
kinda boring sitting around in the heat (although i can't complain too much since we were in a nice patch of shade and had a decent breeze).
a "customer" pulls in and my mother quietly whispers to me "isn't that so-n-so's dad (a dub girl i went to school with).
Of course, I was raised by parents who in turn had a strict Presbyterian childhood. Praise was scantily given, one did not want to "spoil" the child. Hugs were rare, too. I still have that "go higher, do better, don't expect any praise" tape recorder in my head. I like to think I improved on the mold. And my daughter is turning out to be an amazing mother herself.
We can't turn back the clock. The best we can do is make it better for the next generation.

There are some mysteries that are not meant to be solved here on earth (Luke 16:19-31). The JW's put all their hopes in a false certainty - their final destination - while glossing over the certain requirements of loving Christian behaviour today.
Today, comfort a grieving child. Love him and tell him you will always be there for them. Give him the certainty of your love.
