Can You Sue an Organisation ?

You can use tort law, or common law. You as the complainant, must prove damage. Corporations are a legal entity so they can be sued.
I'll give an example of a failed complaint from my son's history. He spent one horrible night as a homeless person. First he was kicked around by transit police and told to move on. The next day he was holed up outside a grocery store waiting for it to open so he could get some cash out. The police were called and after they deemed him evasive, roughly arrested him and caused more bruising. Their trespassing charge and the consequent resisting arrest charge was thrown out, because he did have a legitimate reason for being there.
When my son registered a complaint with the police service, the file was closed because there was no way to determine which injuries were caused by the transit police, and which by the police service.

A Thread for Cyclists - Where Do you Ride?
by cofty ini took up cycing a couple of months ago just to get fitter and lose a bit of excess weight.. i bought a second-hand hybrid bike (weighs only slightly less than a truck) and fitted road tyres.
four or five times a week i will go for a ride after work for an hour or so.
i am fortunate enough to live in rural north england surrounded by limitless quiet roads.

Do any of you get scared when there's a major storm/occurence?
by mellojello ini never used to care for storms or anything like that but ever since i learned about jwism, i would get scared everytime there's a big storm.....does this happen to any of you?

persuading countless generations that it is a virtue to believe incredible things on insufficient evidence, is one of religion's cleverest tricks.. the more incredible the claim; the more flimsy the evidence; the stronger the belief; the greater the virtue.. this is the exact opposite of how we operate in every other aspect of our lives.. rational people must demand objective evidence for everything they are asked to believe.
"extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence".. leaving the dogmatic claims of the watchtower is only a first step.

What I was getting at is when life is hard and short and death is commonplace, the corresponding god is similarly harsh and brutal. We've softened, and we can afford to be generous. Now we have a softer, gentler god.
