It would be interesting if when these old guard members die off if the next generation will try to do some corporate reform. Wishful thinking? Nah, just bored at work and let my boredom take over...
That, of course, assumes that the GB really can do much of anything in the way of corporate reform. I think a lot of the real decisions are done by the legal and service departments without much GB input.
Also, isn't it likely that to get voted onto the GB by a majority, you have to be pretty much mainstream GB-think over a long period of time? So, is it really likely that new GB people are going to be much in the way of innovation?
I think they are just clones of the old ones - but increasingly dumbed-down clones. Nobody seems to want to be the next Freddy Franz nowadays.

What will dubs do? Hand the householder a handbill with the WTS website address and tell them for their free copy of a life saving message, visit that site and download the magazine?
Probably door to door will be more in the style of the assembly handbills - just a single page, and like you say, with the web address.

in the matter of baptism, this is what i dont seem to quite understand.

My opinion, for what it is worth, is that ex-JWs are screwed up enough after leaving that they should just in turn leave people of other religions alone.
If anybody on earth should realize that they do not have the answers to other peoples religious lives, it should be an ex-JW. If they are being honest with themselves.
